Carrier Roasting Co.

Crema's Take
“Carrier Roasting Co. is a meticulously crafted espresso destination in Stowe where the coffee is as intentional as the space itself—they source premium local milk and roast with real expertise, earning consistent praise for balanced, carefully sourced beans that locals claim are Vermont's best. The vibe is genuinely convivial, whether you're ducking in for a quick flat white or settling in for hours with a friend, all while excellent music and chill energy set the tone. Bonus: it's connected to a brewery and their maple lattes are memorable enough that visitors plan their mornings around returning.”

A perfect little cafe with an excellent drink selection and baked goods. Wonderful for either in and out service or to sit and chat with a friend for hours. Excellent music and chill vibes.
the staff is very friendly the espresso here is very good. Today i ordered a flat white i think it cost $5.18 before tip i received a cup full of warm/hot seemingly unsteamed milk with one shot of espresso in it. A flat white is typically closer to a 50/50 ratio milk to espresso. the only point of a flat white is its less milk than a standard latte or cappuccino. I like this coffee shop but today was definitely disappointing i was on my lunch break abd already across the street when i noticed they're mistake otherwise i would've asked them to fix. Still great espresso when they get it right!
Stayed in Northfield for a few days and was lucky enough to have this very close by. We went every morning and enjoyed each time. I recommend trying a maple latte or the G.O.A.T...that drink is out of this world delish!
Hands down, the very best coffee in Vermont... so... if you are driving by Northfield, VT don't hesitate to stop. They use local (and premium quality) Rogers Farmstead cream milk... to drink a Cortado at Carrier is to transport yourself to a the comforting shade of a hillside tropical coffee farm. You can also get some outstanding granola and a smallish selection of sweet bread... as well as excellent beer in the adjoining brewery. They roast on Mondays, except if it's brutally hot - then it's done in the middle of the night. In any case, Vermont is not exactly known for it's steaming hot summers. Enjoy!
Easily the best, most well balanced, thoroughly sourced, expertly roasted coffee in Vermont. Doesn’t hurt that the space is welcoming, service is top notch and it’s connected to a brewery! A thoughtful rotating seasonal menu always offers a perfect single origin on drip. Pair it with a cappuccino, or if you’re feeling a fancy, a Darryl and get a granola + yogurt to stay!
