Front Seat Coffee
101 S Main St, Stowe, VT
Crema's Take
“Tucked in Stowe, Front Seat Coffee wins hearts with in-house baked pastries that locals won't stop raving about—their chocolate croissants rival serious bakeries, and their vegan scones and almond croissants are equally stellar. The sprawling, serene space feels like a sanctuary where you can linger over a carefully pulled espresso drink or cortado, and the crew's commitment to local ingredients and products gives the whole experience a genuine sense of place. It's the kind of spot where dog-friendly patios, thoughtful specialty drinks, and that calming energy keep people coming back, debating lattes months later.”

I've always loved Front Seat Coffee, but this place continues to amaze me. This time I got a cortado and a chocolate croissant, which I can now comfortably say is better than Bohemian Bakery, Red Hen Bakery and Birchgrove Bakery, by far. All served on handmade pottery in a spacious, cozy, and well-lit location. Thank you Front Seat!
There is something so calming about this cafe! They bake their own pastry, which was all great! We tried ginger syrup, almond croissants, and a few more special cookies! Would be my top choice as a regular coffeeshop to visit. At breakfast or lunch times you can get sandwiches, burritos, and empanadas, which were of the highest quality like the pastry. The coffee they brew is great as well.
My husband and I stopped in last month and we are still talking about how much we loved these lattes! 10/10 recommend stopping in. They use local ingredients and also sell some local products. We hope to be back in soon.
The atmosphere inside is nice - the place is really spacious. The cappuccino didn’t taste well in my opinion and it was served hotter than I’d expect. Empanadas with spicy chicken and ham and cheese croissant were just okay, good enough to feed you if you are hungry but not something personally enjoyed much in terms of taste.
Vegan scones are so incredible. Also love the vegan overnight oats. Coffee is great and the space is truly beautiful. Very dog friendly.
