Crema's Take

Tucked into a charming old white house across from Virginia Beach's municipal complex, Astraea Coffee creates an exceptionally cozy retreat with uniquely themed seating areas spread throughout the property that invite both solo work sessions and lingering catch-ups with friends. Their specialty drinks—particularly the chai lattes that regulars rave about—pair beautifully with fresh pastries and light fare, though their greatest strength lies in the relaxed, chill atmosphere that makes this local gem feel like a secret worth keeping.

The place is cozy and nice. I ordered a cafe latte and a peanut butter scone. Coffee was okay. The scone had a banana flavor for some reason it felt very artificial and very off putting, not a great scone . They had limited parking. The service was quick and people working were friendly. The had some good breakfast options too.

Astraea Coffee is always a treat! I’ve never had a bad chai latte from here, and my friends always enjoy their coffee and baked goods. Perfect location across from the courthouse, and I love the theme of balance and justice. The menu items are clever and tasteful. Great atmosphere and it’s beautiful in the springtime!

This coffee shop is set inside of a cute little house with an exceptionally cozy atmosphere. There is enough seating inside and out to relax by yourself or with loved ones. Good selection of coffee for all palates and plenty to pick from for a filling meal. The cold brew I got was strong and full of flavor, my lox bagel was generously sized with plenty of salmon and toppings. I did not try the pastries but they did look tempting. Friendly service.
