Crema's Take
“Huitzitzilin Café is a cozy haven that blends traditional Mexican coffee culture with creative specialty drinks, earning love for house-made creations like their arroz con leche latte and café de olla preparations. The intimate space fills with the aroma of fresh pan dulce and cinnamon, wrapped in a warm boho-goth aesthetic where friendly staff genuinely guide you through their favorites and take time to make you feel welcomed. It's the kind of small, carefully curated spot that feels like a personal discovery—a place where slow coffee moments meet beautiful design and stellar sourdough pastries.”

I really liked the concept, it’s cozy and welcoming. The arroz con leche latte was delicious and they also sell delicious cookies made of sourdough starter. Service was good, extra points because they had some Juan Gabriel songs in the background.
Great atmosphere right when you walk in super welcoming and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful, breaking down their favorites and what’s popular. Ordered the Cafe De Olla Latte was exactly what I was look for. Not too sweet, not just black coffee just a solid, balanced flavor. Smooth and rich without being too hot. Love supporting small businesses like this.
I’ve heard great things about this spot and finally decided to check it out. From the moment I walked in, the coffee shop smelled so yummy , like fresh pan dulce and cinnamon. It’s a small place, but very cozy and beautifully decorated. I originally wanted to stay and study because the atmosphere truly feels like I am having coffee at my tía’s house. However, I did feel a little awkward during my visit. At first, I thought it was just me, but after reading other reviews, it seems there may be room for improvement in customer service. Nothing was disrespectful, but the interaction felt a bit standoffish. I understand this is a newer business, so I don’t want to be too harsh. I ordered the wake-up bagel and an arroz con leche latte. The bagel was soooo good , very filling and delicious. The latte could have been a bit sweeter. I was surprised since it contains condensed milk, but overall it was still good. I enjoyed the rice bits at the bottom . I would definitely like to give this place another chance because I can see a lot of potential here.
A beautiful great coffee shop. It’s a small space but there’s sufficient seating. Cozy and aesthetically appealing. The coffee(Cafe de olla) was great and so was the pastry. The staff were also kind and welcoming. A gem of a place.
i wanna gatekeep this place so bad because it’s new and underground, but it is just so awesome i just have to post a review. First of all it is SO DAMN CUTE. It’s got a cozy warm boho goth vibe and i think i could stay here all day long. The arroz con leche drink is super yummy 10/10 and has that nice luxurious thick coffee feel that i love. They have sugar free pastry options and also they are hand baked fresh by a local vendor. Finally, i’m just a sucker for local businesses- and this place is run by a cute and sweet family! The girls in the front are very nice and attentive. Please don’t come here so i can always find a spot when i go. 🧚
