Winston's Coffee and Waffles

I tried the cold brew w/ pumpkin and sugar free vanilla! It was so good normally places that are like food trucks are a hit or miss but this place knocked it outta the park for me ! My wife got iced latte and was equally as good :) we also shared the waffles with chicken and it was perfect little sweet and salty ! It was a great snack before church ! The worker at the pick up section was very nice and cheerful she handed me the drinks before my order was ready so that I could enjoy something while I waited greatly appreciated:)

I gave Winston's 5 stars a while ago, after stumbling upon it as a quick meal option to eat on the floor of an empty apartment mid-move with my then-boyfriend. That was a couple of years ago now, and we've been filling up our Winston's punch card for all our big life moments since then -- we shared our vows privately over waffles (and got a tenth punch!) on our wedding day this year :) My favorite is the Empire (I love a fried egg), and he's all about the Southampton. The coffee is amazing, too, and no matter how busy they are, the staff is always so friendly! They do have a picnic table, but if that's taken, there's a lovely little park right next door with plenty more. This is our go-to recommendation for out-of-towners (and any locals who haven't yet experienced Columbus's best waffles).

Shown in the photo is Baron Style Waffle with Veggies and Egg. The proportion of the egg/veggies filling to the thick waffle is spot on. I loved the flavor except that I did not know that this Baron Style waffle has sugar chunks in it. I did not really expect it to have some sweetness in it. It still tastes pretty good overall but it just really caught me off guard. Maybe update the description in the Online Ordering menu? We had the Common Style items before and that did not have sugar chunks in it. They also messed up one of the items in our order. They just remade it and gave us a $5 gift card for future use. That is pretty decent! We appreciated the gesture.

I'm not even out of the parking lot writing this review. This food is SO GOOD! The Northampton is absolutely delicious. I also got a white mocha with caramel and toasted marshmallow, and it also is great! The workers are so nice, and we got our stuff really quick! I'm not from the area, but if I were I'd come here very often! Highly, highly recommend if you come to the area!

Wow what a great place! Their savory waffles are really good, and the full / large portion is sizeable. I had the Southampton and the Empire and both were delicious. I tried their sweet waffle after eating the savory one, but it didn't taste very sweet to me. I think my taste buds were altered from eating the savory one first. My wife thought it was still sweet and tasted good. They've got some unique savory waffle combos that raise my eyebrows a little, but maybe I'll try them in the future.
