Amazing atmosphere, delicious food/pastry selection, and overall great community spot! Don’t skip the Persian breakfast or the scones. Will definitely be back to try more soon :)

A++ all around. Outside seating available for those with dogs. The savory porridge is delicious— basically an elevated congee/jook and really hit the spot for me this morning. Highwire coffee. Super duper friendly staff. Selection of scones and pastries was excellent. It wasn’t very busy Saturday morning but I hope they pick up in business soon as word spreads how great this place is!

Cozy yet bright & spacious cafe with tasty pastries, light sandwiches, and delicious breakfast options. Really fresh, quality, and seasonal ingredients come together for some creative dishes and turn familiar menu items into a culinary experience. If you’re a fan of HighWire coffee, then this is your spot—and I can’t seem to get enough of the iced black chai latte. The sturdy and spacious tables, counter seating, and strong WiFi make Evergreen a great place to fuel up and get some work done, or just chill with a good book or journal. The cafe is run by a warm and friendly team who seem just as happy to make a connection and get to know you as they are to complete your order. If you’re still reading, then here’s a little something I’ll share with you… Evergreen is more than a cafe; it’s a love letter to Berkeley (and you) by owners Sara & Stacie, two Cal alums and former colleagues who left the tech world to follow their hearts and passion to create community the best way they know how—at a time and in a world that seems to be pulling us apart. Their love of food, hospitality, and desire to bring people together is infused into every detail of the space. I couldn’t be more thrilled for the whole team—and for all of you who get to experience this gem of a corner in Berkeley. Best scone I’ve ever had! Stacy and Sara have the scone recipe perfected. It’s a must try. The vibe here is wonderful. You’ll feel welcomed and nourished. The cafe has greenery inside and out. They also host community events like the Paella Party with live cooking and education.

Evergreen Cafe is our new favorite spot for breakfast and lunch. Amazing coffee, tea, and matcha lattes; gorgeous homemade pastries and sandwiches; impeccable toasts — they have it all! I dream about their Persian breakfast. The lighting (and Wi-Fi) are perfect for meetings and work sessions.
