Crema's Take

This Calyer spot has earned its neighborhood devotion through an unexpectedly stellar food program that regularly steals the show from the coffee—their chicken katsu and Cuban sandwich have inspired near-religious fervor among regulars. Beyond the genuinely delicious lattes (the honey lavender is a standout), the cafe nails that perfect balance of being both a serious work destination with solid wifi and a genuinely warm gathering place where the staff makes you feel welcome. It's the kind of place people come back to twice in one week just to try another sandwich, and three-year residents still call it their favorite in the neighborhood.

What to expect

Specialty coffee, with creative signature drinks. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu. Wifi.

A very cute cafe. Staff is generally very sweet and friendly. The vibes of the cafe are also nice and they have free wifi. Lattes are delicious especially honey lavender and vanilla lattes. We got the egg and cheese sandwich and chocolate croissant which were good.

The nova breakfast, with egg and salmon, was decent. I wouldn't say I liked it, but it was better than "just ok" -- a 3.5+ I suppose, so I will round up to 4 ⭐. The chai latte was slightly better than I had expected: I rarely have chai because I find them too sweet, and so I was…
