Crema's Take
“Egg is a St. Louis breakfast destination where the details matter—think perfectly cooked eggs with silky hollandaise, crispy-outside-soft-inside potatoes, and creative hash preparations that keep people coming back the morning after they first visit. The intimate, art-filled space draws a loyal crowd of regulars and welcomes families equally well, with a small team that moves with genuine care even during the morning rush. Beyond the exceptional breakfast execution, they've built something rare: a neighborhood gathering spot where the coffee is thoughtful, the atmosphere is unhurried, and every plate feels like it was made with intention.”

We came here for brunch and everything was really solid. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise was rich but not too heavy. The breakfast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside — exactly how they should be. The shrimp and grits had great flavor, especially with the sauce and fresh toppings on top. And the pancakes were fluffy, not overly sweet, just simple and comforting. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Overall, a great brunch spot if you’re in the area. Would definitely come back.
Found it randomly on internet. Service was fast. Food was Awesome. Had Grits, Brisket, Sunny Side Egg... Phenomenal... French Toast Was Good... It was so good, that next morning chose to come back 20miles from a Hotel by Airport just to repeat the Grits and Brisket... Also Had Benedict Pork Belly, Corn Bread... Fantastic... Locals Might Know... When out of Town, A Must Stop. I Know I Am... Coming Back to STL pretty Soon... Bravo...
We stopped in right after they opened on a Wednesday. Only.one person walked in before us (who Im sure is a regular). There was one man running the front. Not sure if he also cooked our food, but the food was delightful! Prices were about average ($12-14) per person.
Came for breakfast and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Hash. Two different kind, two different takes and both were absolutely delicious. This was worth the drive. I love the decor and the art, its from a local artist which made it even better. Beautiful restaurant.
Came here for breakfast after a morning walk, and it was decent. The tacos could’ve used more flavor, not that they were bad but it was just okay. The server however was a bit passive aggressive, not sure if he didn’t feel like working or what but it definitely made my friend and I uncomfortable. I’d say this place good for a one time try.
