Calidum – Breakfast, Brunch & BBQ

Stopped by for lunch and it was absolutely worth it! The dishes were fresh and full of flavor, and you can tell everything is made with care. Service was friendly and fast, which made the experience even better. Perfect place for a nice lunch with friends or a quick business meeting.

I walked in and to no greeting or anything. Not even a good morning. They speak a different language, so do I but I know when to not speak Spanish around people that don’t understand. Besides the point, I was looked at like a confused person when I asked do I sit anywhere after not being greeted or looked at. Then I asked for a menu and was pointed to the menu not handed it. COVID has messed up everything and I will start to write reviews and every place I go to eat on my lunch break. This is getting ridiculous and this isn’t a business… just a shell that sells food. The pancakes are not good, overcooked, flavors all over the place, glop of cheese just dropped on the pancakes for me to smear. Not inside the pancake. Waste of money and time, horrible pancakes to dry and flavors all over, coffee generic pressed machine liquid. Fail

Start with the good news - this place has a big menu with some creative items, breakfast, lunch bakery, coffee shop items and more. And what we had was fresh and flavorful. BUT, 45+ minutes to get a salad is a problem. Had to remind them to bring our order. They generally seemed disorganized and didn’t really seem to have the capability to fulfill the promise of their menu. All that might have been OK but they had no apologies or explanations for the slow service, basically seemed unfriendly. We heard a table with kids ask, with some desperation, if there was anything they could get right now! Overall, 4 star food with 1 star service. Too much competition in the area to give it another shot.

Was craving a late-night latte and found Calidum on Yelp — so glad I did! It’s tucked in the corner with its own small parking lot, which made parking super easy. Inside is adorable, decorated with flowers like a little indoor garden. Cozy, inviting, and the pastry display totally pulls you in. Service was great — the man behind the counter was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My latte was delicious, and I’m already planning to come back to try their pastries next time. So happy to have discovered a new spot in the area!

Everything was okay overall. The cafe is very cute and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a nice spot to relax or catch up with friends. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the decor adds to the charm. Everything was perfectly fine definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
