Crema's Take
“Aroom brings authentic Vietnamese coffee culture to Seattle's waterfront with rich, smooth espresso drinks that feel like a genuine taste of home. This cozy, welcoming spot is perfect for settling in with your laptop on weekdays or meeting friends by the ferry terminal, though it gets delightfully bustling on weekends—and their newly expanded food menu, including banh mi, makes it easy to linger even longer.”

LOVVVVE this Vietnamese coffee shop. Conveniently located across from the ferry terminal along the waterfront. Great place to work from during the week, but it does get super busy on weekends. They do take preorders online for drinks, so if you want to be in and out quickly, highly recommend ordering online ahead of time! The food here is delicious and they do sell out of some food items when going later in the afternoon so try to go earlier in the day if you want to eat. Faves: Salty coffee, egg coffee, black sesame coffee. Sub oat milk. Garlic noodles, xiu mai, com tam For more eats 🤩 IG @hungerdontlai TT @hungerdontlai_ YT: @hungerdontlai
What a great coffee place with a true taste of Vietnam. The coffee is rich, smooth, and authentic, just like back home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and you can really tell they care about quality. Highly recommend if you love Vietnamese coffee or want to try something new ☕🇻🇳
Update (Jan. 12, 2026): First time ordering food here and wanted to see if it was worth trying. I ordered the banh mi ($14) 🥖 — flavor-wise it was solid, but the portion was a bit smaller than I expected. For drinks, we tried two: ☕️ Iced Nutty Cloud (vegan) 🌰: not my favorite, as the texture wasn’t as thick or creamy as expected and didn’t have the signature foam on top. 🍵 Iced Tea Macchiato (green tea with guava) 🍊💛: this one was excellent. Very fruity with real fruit slices and a thick, slightly salty cream foam that really stood out ✨ Overall, the service and wait time were reasonable during a weekday (Monday early afternoon) ⏱️🙂. The café was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed browsing their small merchandise corner 🧢👕. I’d love to see more items added in the future. Drink Ranking: (iced) 1️⃣ Sesame latte 2️⃣ Coconut latte 3️⃣ Pandan latte 4️⃣ Iced tea macchiato 5️⃣ Matcha latte 6️⃣ Nutty cloud ——— (Dec. 23, 2025) This was my first time visiting the new Waterfront location after going to the Fremont branch, and I absolutely loved it! 😍 The space here is much larger with plenty of seating, which makes it feel so comfortable and relaxing compared to Fremont. The interior design is also beautiful and thoughtfully done ✨ I tried the iced pandan latte and the hot sesame latte this time. I personally prefer the sesame latte iced, and so far my drink ranking is: Sesame latte (iced) > Coconut latte > Pandan latte > Matcha latte ☕️ I also tried one of their pastries for the first time across both locations, and it exceeded my expectations 🥐👏 Very flavorful, well-textured, and nicely balanced — and most importantly, it was NOT too sweet (as an Asian person, I really appreciate that!) 😄 I’ll definitely be trying more pastries on my next visit. The staff seemed a bit short-handed and inside the shop could get a bit loud, which is totally understandable given how busy this tourist-heavy area can be, but the wait time was still very reasonable 👍 I’d 100% recommend this coffee shop again and again, a must-visit spot in Seattle! 🌊☕️💛
I stopped by Aroom Coffee Waterfront soon after it opened, and it’s already one of my favorite new finds in downtown Seattle! This is the second location for Aroom (their original cafe in Fremont is already beloved), and the waterfront setting gives it a great vibe — perfect for a relaxed coffee break while exploring the city. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt bright and welcoming. The space is more spacious than I expected with plenty of seating — ideal for catching up with a friend or just taking a quiet moment to yourself. Now to the most important part: the coffee and drinks. Aroom’s specialty Vietnamese-inspired beverages are delicious — rich, bold, and beautifully balanced. Fans of their Fremont location will be happy to see the same thoughtful craft here, with strong coffee, creamy foams, and unique flavor combinations that make every drink feel special. Salty coffee is my all-time favorite! Service was friendly and efficient, even on a busy day, and everything came out quickly. It felt like a spot that could easily become part of my regular rotation — whether I’m starting a morning downtown or taking a break from a waterfront walk. Overall, Aroom Coffee Waterfront blends inventive drinks, a comfortable setting, and that signature Aroom charm into a must-visit destination for coffee lovers. I’ll definitely be back to try more drinks and soak in this great new addition to Seattle’s coffee scene!
Great spot on your day at the waterfront with friends and family! Drinks were as primo as their Fremont location, and their new food menus are exciting as well. There were enough space for work or hangouts; we saw few people working or studying. Service was prompt and friendly. Can’t wait to comeback!
