MoonWink's Cafe

Crema's Take
“This Ann Arbor gem earns its reputation with house-made syrups and unexpected flavor combinations like their beloved cinnamon bun tea latte that sneaks in a warming spice. The modern-meets-cozy vibe in downtown Dixboro, paired with genuinely warm staff and stellar pastries (especially those cinnamon rolls), makes it equally perfect for a quick coffee grab or lingering over breakfast with friends.”

Stopped in for the very first time to grab a coffee, I ordered a cold brew with oat milk and their brown butter syrup which I liked that they make it in house. Also grabbed a cinnamon roll! There were ppl setting up for a band which I thought was cool. When I walked in though noone was at the counter and the kitchen staff that did appear through the door never acknowledged me or that someone would be right with me. The lady who did take my order (she was grabbing items for other guests when I arrived) was very nice and polite! Being that it was my first time I'll have to come back and try the food/beer as it appears that you can order off the Tavern menu on the Cafe side as well.
I love the cinnamon bun tea latte, it has a little spice which I didn’t know about but very much enjoyed. The staff is super sweet and helpful. There was some serious chemistry between the bartenders it was very sweet to watch coworkers not only getting along but enjoying each other’s company. The food was good but could use just a wee bit more seasoning. The southwest rolls had a lovely texture but needed a little something
Took my kids in today for the first time, and was disappointed there wasn’t more of a kids menu, they basically secretly told us they can make grilled cheese but that’s it. My son got a bagel with cream cheese and my daughter wouldn’t get anything. I got a club sandwich and gave her some, which she ate, but I wasn’t going to spend upwards of $15 for her to pick at something. The club sandwich was very good, and I enjoyed it. They don’t have table service, you order at the counter and take a number and find a table and they bring it out to you. Maybe we were just unfamiliar but we had to ask for napkins and silverware. The cafe itself is kind of on the small side, but very cozy and well done inside, bright with lots of windows. We ordered a caramel brownie to go and it is huge! Bigger than my hand! It didn’t taste like caramel and it was so dry, more like a dry piece of coffee cake than a moist brownie. Very disappointing since the brownie was $7! Not sure if we’ll be back, but nice for a variety of deli sandwiches and nice country location in Dixboro.
I had MoonWinks on my ‘to visit’ list for a few years now and I finally made it in for breakfast. It was delightful! Situated in the idyllic downtown Dixboro, it has an aesthetic that is more modern yet seems to fit right in. The space is clean and bright, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. And the food was top quality. Elevated bagel sandwiches anyone? 🤣🤤 They have fußball out on the patio and a tavern next door. Definitely coming back to try the tavern one day.
Stopped for a light brunch/lunch after a Dr. appointment in the area. Such a cute, quaint location. Clear and concise menu and very friendly staff members! We ordered a bagel sandwich and a cinnamon roll to eat in. Everything was fresh and delicious! The bagel sandwich was put together perfectly and not just slapped together - it took several minutes for it to come out but I prefer that anyway for quality food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Comfortable and fun setting! I would definitely willingly return anytime!
