Merit Coffee

This is a great little coffee shop. There is plenty of seating. The coffee was very good. I suggest getting a cup for there instead of to-go since you get a refill!

My friend wanted to have a study session and I’ve always heard good things about Merit Coffee . I’ve been drinking matcha more than lattes recently and decided to try their Cinnamon Toast Crunch matcha with oatmilk and it was surprisingly really delicious . Sweet service in the beginning , the woman mentioned if I was part of the rewards program but really didn’t go in description as to if it was free or maybe a membership ? However , would recommend this location to be perfect to do your work it’s not that loud .

Merit Coffee on Broadway in Alamo Heights delivers an exceptional experience. I ordered a cortado, and it was stunning—nutty, sweet, creamy, and deeply robust with an earthy finish that lingers in all the right ways. The baristas are warm, skilled, and clearly passionate, and the café has that rare blend of calm energy and refined atmosphere. If you want a cup that reminds you what great coffee truly tastes like, this is the place.

My first drink wasn’t my favorite I got a rosemary brown sugar latte. It was fine I just wasn’t expecting a stem of rosemary in it. However I got the strawberry matcha and that was delicious!! Very good atmosphere for studying. There were dogs inside, all were well behaved but if you have an allergy be careful. Music was nice. Staff was very friendly and drinks came out in under 5 minutes even with a line. Overall if i was in the area i would definitely come back.

This is my favorite Merit Coffee location in town! There is a lot of seating for studying or working, lots of natural light, and a very cool atmosphere inside. It is also open through to the Trek bike store which is neat! The service is lovely and as always the coffees are incredible. They have great seasonal flavors in addition to the standard menu.
