Crema's Take

Southbound Coffee serves up creative specialty drinks like their "Matcha Made In Heaven" and "Dirty Horchata" alongside genuinely impressive house-made pastries—we're talking enormous toaster strudels and baked banana nut donuts that keep people coming back. The vibe here strikes that perfect balance between a quick caffeine grab and a cozy spot to linger, all set in a charming food truck area that locals have already embraced as their new regular haunt. With consistently excellent cold brews, thoughtful flavor combinations, and a team that actually seems to care, it's the kind of neighborhood spot that makes you wonder how you ever lived without it.

Love this coffee shop. Cute little set up with coffee and goodies. Home made HUGE toaster strudel and baked banana nut donut. My vanilla/caramel latte was perfect. I will definitely be back for my morning jolt next time I’m Downtown SA.

I really like this place but today I found a piece of matcha whisk (at least that’s what I think it is) in my “Matcha Made In Heaven”…

Fast service, great flavors, and friendly vibes! I had an iced vanilla latte with an extra shot always a solid choice 😌. My husband went for the dirty horchata with an extra shot, and it was a perfect 10/10

Southbound coffee is amazing! I love the area, and they have really great roasted coffee, lattes, and cold brews. They are always so sweet and amazing. Check this place out! You cannot miss the little pink truck

Heard about this place from a coworker. I love adding a new coffee spot to my list. The area the food trucks are in is very cozy. If I lived close, I could see myself walking over for coffee on a regular. I ordered the Dulce de Nuez and the husband got a chai latte. Both were pretty good.
