The Breakfast Spot
2605 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA
Crema's Take
“The Breakfast Spot is a warm, family-friendly neighborhood gem where the real star is their creative pancake flights that let you sample multiple flavor combinations like cookie butter, banana pudding, and cinnamon swirl alongside classic breakfast favorites. The staff consistently earns praise for being genuinely welcoming and the quality of their coffee and made-from-scratch breakfast items—from steak and egg bagels to French toast—punches well above what you'd expect at their price point, making it worth a visit in person rather than ordering delivery.”

Fun, enjoyable spot. Kid friendly. The food was amazing! Everyone was so nice. I got a steak, egg, and cheese bagel with onions. My husband got the Brownsville burger and fries. We split a pancake flight. You get to pick the flavors you want. We chose the banana pudding, strawberry shortcake, and cookie butter, yuuum! The street parking was full. We used a public parking area and I think it was $1.50 an hr. Well worth the trip!
This was our first time here and it was delicious! Got the pancake flight. Cookie butter, banana pudding, and cinnamon swirl. Service was great!! We will be coming back for sure!! Tip: park in the public lot a block from the restaurant, much easier than street parking for the same price.
High quality breakfast at a great price, and the staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. Coffee was excellent. French toast & strawberry French toast were both delicious, along with the fresh fruit ordered separately. Bacon was really good as well. My girlfriend said the hashbrowns were also the best shes ever had, and I couldn’t argue with her. They were amazing! Perfectly crisp and tasteful. Host was awesome and was training a young one, which was nice to see! Would definitely recommend to anyone around Pittsburgh for a good breakfast and vibe!
The food is not good here at all and the drinks are even worse the strawberry lemonade doesn't taste like lemonade at all and the waffles are worst than box waffles and 10x too thick with no flavor. The pancakes are not any better. The stuff looks nice when it comes out but that's about it. Service is good but you can't come for the service. We were starving and couldn't eat the food straight off a flight! The pictures fooled us now we have to go and get food elsewhere!!!! Never again, we will stick to what we know in PA like Pamela's diner which is amazing and never lets us down!
We ordered for the First and LAST from this restaurant. I read reviews first which were good but they were dine in and we ordered delivery method. Totally NOT worth anywhere near the $60 we paid for the two of us. My first bite into my scrambled egg was a crunchy bite of egg shell and just to the left of my portion another big piece of egg shell cooked into the cheese and visible so that tells me you're CARELESS & DON'T CARE about how you feed your delivery orders. Fruit $6 each for soggy, over ripened, barely cold, very small portion. I ordered bacon & turkey sausage, got all sausage. We ordered toast, where the condiments for that and it wasn't even toasted, just bread?? Disappointing is UNDERSTATED after waiting 1hr to eat. NEVER AGAIN!!! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!
