Hideout Coffee

Hideout Coffee (est 2025/04) is a tiny new to-go-cafe shop located on Lime ave in Monrovia. It’s a fast growing cafe serving coffee, matcha, chai, and more! As the name denotes, this coffee shop is inside an old brick wall building with a small window on the side street facing east of Monrovia Public Library. It has no outdoor or indoor seats because it wasn’t design to be a sit in coffee shop. Nevertheless, they offer a modest variety of coffee and tea which can be hot or cold. I visited this coffee shop today-Memorial Day- and had a great experience. It is beautiful. I ordered a 12oz Rose Latte which was a traditional latte with the addition of subtle sweet, floral notes. Its rose flavor was not strong or over powering. If you enjoy a traditional latte, this one is worth trying. Staff was cordial and professional. Service was spot on. Prices were fair and competitive. Finding parking was easy. Collectively, this was a good to-go- coffee shop find. Overall, I enjoyed my latte and their service. I recommend and hope you support this tiny coffee shop.

Very good lattes. Fair prices. The only reason I give them a four instead of a five is that they have the same prices as a sit-down coffee shop, but do not offer any of the amenities that a sit down coffee shop has like comfy seating or internet. Would be perfect if their prices were 10-15% lower since it's just a window and they don't have an actual space. Rose latte is delicious!!

Great. I’m coming back. It’s about time? Coffee is expensive but that’s what good coffee in LA costs. Service was friendly, pastries looked good, solid stream of people. Easy to park on a weekday morning and can’t beat a giant quiet park across the street. I hope more places like this add density to downtown Monrovia.

Cool new spot. The menus are a little confusing. Their special drinks are at eye level but the regular menu is above the window. I tried the pistachio latte but I thought it was too sweet. Going to try a regular coffee next time. Takeout only. No seating available. Get a drink and take a nice long walk or sit in the park across the street. Cash and credit accepted

Hideout Coffee is a true hole-in-the-wall gem! I got the vanilla cold brew, and it was smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. There’s no seating, but it’s right next to a beautiful park, making it a great grab-and-go spot. The service is friendly, and the quality is top-notch. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!
