Tin Roof Bakery & Cafe
627 Broadway St, Chico, CA
Crema's Take
“Tin Roof Bakery & Cafe is a genuinely welcoming neighborhood spot in Chico where the calm, dog-friendly atmosphere and attentive staff make you want to linger over your tea or coffee. Their croissants and pastries are the real draw—locals rave about the quality of their baked goods, and they're generous with fillings like ham and cheese. It's the kind of place that feels like a small victory when you stumble upon it, especially if you're craving a peaceful morning ritual with a cup of something excellent.”

I was in Chico for my birthday. The hotel was awful but one morning while I walked my dog I saw this cafe. We went in and I got a tea to go. The tea was excellent. The staff were super friendly. They gave my service dog a treat. They are very welcoming and really made my mornings when we went in. I didn't buy any food which I now wish I did. Probably won't be going back to Chico but if we do I will make it a point to stop by again. Thank you for being the highlight of my trip.
Gotta love the atmosphere here :) its such a nice calm place to relax sit back and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The staff are very attentive and always have a warm smile.
I was buying two day old bread with 50% discount at the cash register because I am not rich to buy fresh bread these are fine for grill cheese sandwiches ...the check out young lady on purpose did not apply 50% discount for 2nd more expensive loaf of bread and I had to go ask for a paper receipt which confirmed my suspicion ... and I was given receipt with missing credit card information payment methood used for purchase ... I tried to phone and talk to a supervisor about this and there was no answer. don't get me wrong, the bread is great! the atmosphere is dark dingy 60s washed out hippies (not good), the customer service may have to know you before not cheating you (not good)... -tibor
This was my $17 salad. I’m so disappointed. Got a coffee and chicken salad for $30 and there isn’t more than a handful of lettuce and 3 bites of chicken… good atmosphere but absolutely ridiculous prices. Very disappointing.
I have been hearing wonderful things about this bakery, and it did not disappoint. I got the ham and cheese croissant. At first, I thought it needed a little more ham, and cheese I was so wrong . It was the exact amount to taste the perfect croissant. It was heated for me, and it still stayed flacky and delicious. I also got a Hazel nut cream puff. Yum! I waited in a short line around 9 in the morning, but it moved quickly
