Crema's Take
“This beloved San Diego spot nails the art of the leisurely beach town brunch, where generous portions of perfectly executed pancakes and chilaquiles arrive plated exactly as promised, backed by genuinely warm service from staff who seem to actually enjoy their work. Whether you're catching the peaceful quiet of an early Friday morning or settling in for a longer Sunday stay with friends, the outdoor seating and unhurried vibe make it feel less like a quick caffeine stop and more like the kind of place that becomes a cherished ritual when you're in town.”

Food portion is very generous. We had a delicious brunch before heading to the beach. Quick service.
Went here on a sunny Sunday morning. Our wait time was about 20 minutes and after being seated we waited 7-8 minutes to be greeted by Stella. She took our coffee orders and they were promptly delivered. My Mocha was delicious, sorry no picture. My quesadilla with black beans hit the spot and my wife enjoyed her Avocado Toast. Both plates were plentiful. Stella did a great job checking with us and had a great attitude and smile on a very busy day. We were a bit disappointed after being told the kitchen did not make modification to orders. We loved the Mission Bay vibe and enjoyed our leisurely breakfast.
Such a great breakfast spot in a beach town! The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The pancakes were generous in size and absolutely delicious, and the chilaquiles were super tasty and satisfying. It’s also a very kid-friendly place, making it perfect for families. A relaxed, welcoming vibe with great food—definitely a place we’d come back to for breakfast. Great place to stop at before heading to Sea World.
Our first time eating at the Mission. Chose this place because of the amazing on line menu photos. Food was plated and served just like the photos and the flavor was amazing! Our waiter Omid was really friendly and did an amazing job with helping us decide what to order. Would highly recommend this place!
Mission Cafe has always been a favorite in my family when we’re here for vacation. We got there as soon as they opened on a Friday and there was no wait in the morning. Very peaceful and quiet in the sitting area. We had great service and Nikki made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. We usually come in during the summer time but the fall season was new to us and will probably be back again in the next season!
