Dottie’s Donuts
1764 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA
Crema's Take
“Dottie's is a tiny, welcoming neighborhood spot on Frankford where you'll find thoughtfully made vegan donuts that taste indulgent despite being plant-based—the Biscoff is a standout. The team genuinely cares about creating a pleasant experience, whether you're grabbing a quick coffee and pastry solo or settling in at the limited counter seating with friends, and their attentiveness even during the morning rush makes every visit feel personal.”

A small, charming donut shop that also serves coffee and tea. They have limited counter seating available. Interestingly, the donuts are actually made offsite at a different location, which is a smart choice to ensure consistent quality across all their stores. Today, I had their apple fritter and it was truly delicious - not overly frosted with delightful chunks of tender apple. Yesterday, I indulged in a blueberry sprinkle donut and a chocolate sprinkle donut, both of which were incredibly tasty and fresh. I am quite fond of this place, with its simplicity and the fact that they have three other locations as well!
Amazing donut spot with a great selection to choose from! I tried the Biscoff donut and loved it, light and not too sweet, just perfect.
I’m a fan of- I happened to walk by and saw it was vegan so stopped in for a donut. The person’s parking the counter was so kind and attentive to everyone (even the rude delivery pickup guy who kept barking at her) while it was so busy! And that’s a good sign - after 9 on a weekday and it’s still poppin! I will be returning. The donut I got was as delightful as the service.
Big shouts to my barista this morning, manning the store on her own on a busy Sunday morning on the Frankford strip!! She created a pleasant experience for my companion and I. First off, I got a Biscoff Latte, it’s so good and made with care, I got 6 donuts Boston Cream, Blackberry Vanilla and Orange BISCOFFF!!!! Can’t wait to share with my babe. I tamed my beast with 2 puppy treats and it did the trick while we waited patiently. Barista created a chill calming vibe, perfect for a busy dog mom who needs her fix in the morning. Everytime I stop by here it’s closed, but today we had an overly pleasant morning, perfect stop on our morning stroll around Philly. +my favorite donuts forever, I can’t stop raving about them!
This was an AMAZING experience. The donuts were so fresh and delicious- and one can’t even tell that they’re vegan. The customer service was top-notch: the guy working at the time I went in was really patient with me when I [hesitantly] pointed out that I had actually asked for 2 vanilla sprinkled donuts (vice the vanilla glazed ones he accidentally put in my box). Instead of asking me to return the wrong ones, he graciously gave me the sprinkled ones I wanted. That is TRUE customer service!!! Shout out to him as he seemed like a really sincere employee. The Pumpkin Spice Latte was AMAZING and I let him know that, too. Definitely check this spot out- you won’t regret it!!!
