Crema's Take

Simone's Kitchen is a vibrant Albany spot where fresh, health-conscious bowls and Mediterranean flavors shine alongside thoughtfully crafted drinks like cardamom tea. The space cultivates that rare magic of being equally perfect for a lingering solo coffee session or catching up with friends, backed by genuinely warm service and a carefully curated selection of quality ingredients that customers genuinely rave about. It's the kind of place where both the food and the atmosphere feel intentional and cared for.

I typically order delivery from Simone's but I have dined in store twice. It is delicious. The atmosphere and service is top notch. The food is delicious; there is a variety of combinations you can make and you cannot go wrong! The pomegranate lemonade is absolutely a must try!

Beautiful food, fresh, colorful, and flavorful. And best of all great for you (provided you choose the healthiest ingredients)! Don't miss out on that quinoa, it's a complete protein and loaded with other good stuff. I have little experience with mediterranean food and didn't know what many of the styles of preparation were, but it was still wonderful and blew me away with the quality and complexity. This is one place where it's absolutely worth trying everything (be warned one of the sauces is spicy if that's not your thing). I also appreciated that it seemed to be well staffed, and the employees were friendly and helpful without seeming forced. Very often these days stores this size only have an employee or two (I've been that solo grunt) but there was a full team here. Inside was clean (and even had someone going over once more), and wonderful layout with big windows full of nautral lighting, and a cozy dining area that's tucked away from the hubub of the ordering line but doesn't feel stuffy thanks to the windows everywhere. Top quality food here, for freshness and variety. Do be warned the "Moroccan Mint Tea" is just a storebought Bigelow green teabag with a mint leaf thrown on top lol. It still goes well with the cuisine so it's fine if you know what you're getting, but maybe keep your cash if you're expecting a home-brewed gunpowder tea in true Moroccan style. Marketing would be more honest if they dropped the "Moroccan" part and just called it mint green tea.

Today, i had lunch here. Review at bottom. I am going with 4 stars now from appearance inside. I have not eaten there. It was right after lunch that I decided to go in and look around. From what I saw, I believe, I shall eat there soon. I had lunch today. It was a small Greek meatballs bowl, with pita bread. It was very good. I had spiced apple cider, also very good. I took with me a small piece of baklava. My wife informed me it was made with honey. It was too sweet for me. Many windows up front gave the restaurant a brightness. The service was very good. With tip, it was a bit under $25.00, maybe a bit pricey for a small lunch. All in all, I enjoyed it and will return.

The service was fast and friendly, I ordered the large chicken schwarma bowl. It had so many toppings and such a good sized portion. I was super happy with it. I also ordered the cardamom tea which was really good as well. Pricing was extremely fair. Just over $12 for the bowl and less than $3 for the tea. Will come back for sure but this plaza is a nightmare, too many good things in one place.
