Beecher’s Handmade Cheese
3920 W Terminal Dr, Salt Lake City, UT
Crema's Take
“This airport outpost of the famous Seattle cheese shop aims for artisanal ambition but lands inconsistently, with passionate fans raving about the Flagship sandwich while others encounter burnt soups and underseasoned dishes that don't justify the premium prices. The staff genuinely seems to care—customers praise the politeness and warmth of the team—but inconsistent execution and a frustratingly rigid refund policy suggest the training isn't matching the mission. If you catch them on a good day, you'll understand why travelers happily trek across the terminal for their cheese-forward comfort food, though it's more of a gamble than a guarantee.”

Very little cheese, two tiny thin slices of tomato and almost nonexistent basil. Sourdough was tough and burnt. Almost threw it out! Tiny sandwich for the money and not even palatable. All you taste is the mustard mayo or whatever the sauce is - couldn’t taste any cheese at all!
A picture is worth a thousand words. The young man working here was very polite and even wished me safe travels. Something is wrong with the training way down at the bottom. Burnt is burnt could it be that at no point in the training is quality covered. I am assuming the best for the young man, I figure all he has ever had is burnt toast growing up and doesn't know any better(eye roll). Either way this isn't the first time I've been burnt eating in the airport. Buyer beware check your sandwich at the counter.
Beecher's isn't just good airport food, it's good food. I always come better even if my gate is on the complete opposite side of the airport! I always get there Flagship sandwich, which is always a delight.
Got “world’s best Mac and cheese” and the noodles were mush and the sauce was coagulated. All for 10$! Terrible. I complained and they said they couldn’t refund me because the manager wasn’t there.
I got the “World’s Best Mac and cheese”, along with the grilled cheese sandwich. A very cheesy meal. The grilled cheese had a nice taste, but was small and as you can see, was very greasy. Now to the Mac and cheese… is it the world’s best as they claim? Most certainly not. It might actually be the world’s creamiest, though! But it lacks that extra flavor and kick that would put it atop world rankings. Good, not great.
