HQ Coffee

2600 N Classen Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK

★★★★4.3(86 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

HQ Coffee takes creative risks with unexpected flavor combinations like honey matcha paired with pho cookies and black sesame hojicha that you won't find at most Oklahoma City spots, though their adventurous approach comes with premium pricing that doesn't always land perfectly. Their espresso foundation is solid—reviewers consistently praise their vanilla latte as genuinely excellent—but the specialty drinks are where they're really trying to push boundaries, even if execution can be inconsistent. It's a spot worth visiting if you're curious about matcha and Asian-inspired café beverages, just go in knowing you're paying for experimentation as much as consistency.

I got the strawberry matcha not realizing it was $7 for such a small portion. Everytime I took a sip there was leaf bits, I’m not sure if its meant to be in there but it should be excluded. Nobody wants to sip up leaves every time they take a sip, I had to keep spitting them out.

This is not a bad spot to get your coffee fix! My baseline order is a vanilla latte at every new shop I try. Their vanilla latte is up there with the best of them. The homemade vanilla has a warm, toasty flavor. The latte has the perfect ratio of foam and they give you some latte art even though there is a lid. The attention to detail is something I appreciate. Customer service is great and the people were very friendly and patient as we looked at the menu. It’s definitely one of my top spots to go to and recommend to others now!

I’ve been wanting to try this spot out and man, I was not disappointed! The honey sweetened Matcha w/ the Pho cookie ooOoOooO. It sounds a little strange at first but seriously one of the best things I’ve ever tasted (& local at that!) I forgot to get the name of the cashier/barista but they were such a pleasure! The drive thru is so convenient but their patio does look inviting! An amazing addition to Classen ✨

Ordered a Black Sesame Hojicha because I don't see it often on cafe menus in the metro area. I've got to say, while it was good, I can't quite justify paying $8 for a 12oz drink! Black black semsame flavor came through but it wasn't a flavor that lasted if that makes sense. It was more sugary than toasty and nutty. I'm eager to try their matchas and coffees since I've heard so much about them, I just wish it was bigger for the price! You can tell they know what they're doing by even offering hojicha though, so props to them!

I was so excited to try out the drinks here because they have fantastic reviews. I got the black sesame latte, but I didn't taste any flavoring. The actual latte was good, but i paid for the flavoring, so I was disappointed. As a group, we got all of their baked goods. Unfortunately, these were a disappointment. The ube cookie was the only one that all of us enjoyed. However, the others had a strange aftertaste. I definitely recommend coming here and forming your own opinions! They certainly know how to pull an espresso, I may have just gone on an off day.
