Crema's Take

Nashwell Cafe feels like that rare downtown spot where the industrial-loft aesthetic actually matches the quality of what's in your cup—regulars and visitors alike rave about consistently excellent pours and a genuinely welcoming crew. Whether you're grabbing a quick ricotta toast before heading out or settling in for a few hours of work, the space strikes that perfect balance between energetic and cozy, with pastries and breakfast items that stand up to the coffee itself.

We popped into Nashville Cafe downtown and it immediately felt like one of those hidden little gems you’re glad you stumbled into. The space itself is adorable—think industrial loft vibes with exposed brick, warm wood accents, and that cozy, slightly artsy feel you get from an old brick building repurposed just right. It’s the kind of place that feels calm and intimate, especially tucked into a quieter downtown pocket that gives off small-city charm in the best way. I ordered a loose-leaf green tea (I won’t even attempt to pronounce the name), brewed French-press style, and it was so good—earthy, smooth, and surprisingly reminiscent of crispy rice mixed with green tea. Warm, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. My husband went with an Americano, which was solid and well-balanced. They do offer food and small bites, but what really stood out was how community-forward the space feels. There’s local artwork displayed throughout the café, all available for purchase, along with curated retail items like tallow products, cool tees, and other thoughtful little finds you don’t usually see in a coffee shop. Between the cozy industrial atmosphere, quality drinks, and strong support of local artists and makers, Nashville Cafe feels less like a quick coffee stop and more like a place you actually want to linger. A really sweet spot downtown—quiet, creative, and full of character.

Stopped here for coffee and a bite to eat! I got the ricotta toast and my husband got the egg/bacon bun. We also had coffees. Everything was delicious!

I am visiting back from Denver and I’m consistently amazed that the quality of this little shop exceeds some of the best cities in the world. Extremely consistent pours. Very friendly people manning the machines and a great atmosphere to hang out in. Thank you guys for existing!

Was visiting Lubbock for my significant other’s graduation. Found this cute cafe. I came here to do some work while the girls get ready in the hotel room. The atmosphere was very welcoming. There are plug outlets everywhere to allow for computer charging. I was able to find myself a nice little corner and do some work. The ambiance makes focusing easy. The drip coffee with oatmilk was an excellent brew. I ordered the avocado toast with fried egg on top and it was delectable. Also got the granola cup which was energizing. Overall great place to come for meeting up with friends and catching up, or to simply get some work done in a welcoming atmosphere.
