Koala Bean

Crema's Take
“Koala Bean is an Anchorage institution that goes far beyond coffee, serving as a genuine community gathering space where the staff truly cares about their neighbors. Beyond their traditional espresso drinks, they're known for preparing satisfying, made-to-order breakfasts and even offering free meals to folks experiencing homelessness, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone belongs. This is the kind of place where locals linger over their cup, knowing their presence supports something bigger than themselves.”

It’s good to have somebody who supports the community
I use to cool for the Seattle Mariners one of my life's highlights the food is well prepared and satisfying
They cater food to where I stay at, but their food is oily and stale. The fruit isn't always fresh, most of them are ripe. Please start making the food better & give fresh fruits. There are pregnant women who stay at that shelter and they need better fresh fruit! They shouldn't be eating oily and stale food either
Free breakfast for mostly homeless people and it's always really good!!! I'm so thankful there are places like this for folks to enjoy essential resourses
This place is awesome. Keep doing work!!!! I came here two months ago as a missions trip with The organization I work for and some of our students and we had a great experience with the staff. We help them organize breakfast and lunch for their patrons and we also peeled and chopped a whole pallet load of bananas in order for them to serve the city. It was a great environment for us to serve in and get to know their staff.
