Crema's Take

Rival Bros strikes that sweet spot between serious espresso craft and welcoming neighborhood hangout, with staff who genuinely know their beans and pull consistently solid drinks. Beyond coffee, they're doing creative things on the food side—think artichoke toast and thoughtful tea options—all served in a stylish, comfortable space that's perfect for lingering with wifi or catching up with friends.

Great vibe and service. Staff is knowledgeable about coffee and they make solid espresso based drinks. Bought a bag of beans to make at home and I wasn’t crazy about the roast, but it was well done and I think I need to try another blend. Overall 10/10 great spot.

Popped in on a beautiful Sunday to get a matcha. New to the Brewerytown neighborhood and the ambiance was nice! I ordered an iced Matcha with strawberry, but the only thing I could taste when I drank it was the oatmilk and hint of matcha. I definitely did not taste any strawberry even after mixing it around, which was quite disappointing because it was a couple extra dollars totaling an $8 drink. I unfortunately will not be back considering the price and taste of my drink.

Vegetarian perspective I've been to tons of coffee shops in Philly and this one really impressed me! Good tea options and unique vegetarian toasts. I got the artichoke one and was so impressed! The bread, the spread, the artichokes, all of it was so fresh and lovely. Pricey upcharge for non dairy milk ($1) but common issue at coffee shops.

Nice little coffee shop to do work or hang out and chat. I got an Americano which tasted kinda just okay. The atmosphere is very nice though and the music was great. They have a lot of beautiful pastries and baked goods they make in house and also some special seasonal syrups for their lattes.
