Paris Baguette

Pastries were mid in all honesty and very overpriced. The worst part of my experience though was the service. One of the staff wiped her nose with her hand then proceeded to take my payment, and then wanted to touch my pastries and put them into the box for me to take home. While I’m sure the staff is usually hygienic it grossed me out and ruined my experience, and with the pastries being overpriced too it was a terrible experience overall and I will not be back and would not recommend anyone else to go.

Where are the adults? All teenagers working. Only one had a badge. Thus service was lacking. Sign showing hours open was facing inward. No one cared. Products were good.

I had one of the most frustrating and unacceptable customer service experiences I have ever had with Paris Baguette. I placed a custom cake order several days in advance, so there was no excuse for failure. When I arrived for pickup, they did not have my cake. Instead, they tried to hand me a random Easter bunny cake I never ordered. When I said that was not my order, they actually tried to insist it was and argued with me as if I was the one who made the mistake. Then the story shifted. The manager claimed I had ordered a cake they do not even make at that location and blamed it on a “system glitch.” It felt less like an explanation and more like an attempt to cover a mistake with whatever story would get me to leave. After I left, I called multiple Paris Baguette locations myself. Every single one confirmed that cakes shown online for a location with 72 hours’ notice are made at that location. So there was no confusion on my end. I was lied to. Since I still needed a cake for my event, I had no choice but to take the only raspberry option available. It was honestly awful. The cake did not taste fresh at all. It was dry, and the coconut coating made it even worse. But the real problem was the frosting. It was not frosting. It was just straight whipped butter. No sugar, no flavor, no sweetness at all. Just cold, bland butter on a dry cake. It was so bad that no one at the event wanted to eat it. What makes this worse is the complete gap between appearance and reality. Paris Baguette presents itself as an upscale, high-quality bakery, but the actual product and experience do not match that image at all. It is all presentation and no execution. Between the failed order, the attempt to deny responsibility, and the extremely poor quality, I will not be returning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breaking news, McKinney: we may have a new pastry obsession. 🥐🤤 I accidentally walked into Paris Baguette this past Friday after completely missing the “opening soon” sign and realized the staff was actually in training. I apologized and started to leave, but the owner introduced himself and insisted I take a couple pastries to try. The kindness alone made my day. He also shared a bit about the renovations, and wow, the space is gorgeous! Bright, welcoming and you can tell a lot of care as well as passion went into every detail. But now… the important part: ❣️🌟THE PASTRIES🌟❣️ Lisssssten these were sooooo good! I tried: • the fruit pastry • the hash brown, ham & cheese pastry Both were incredible and let me just say, I don’t even like ham. Yet somehow back home getting out of my car wondering where the rest of the pastry went, because I had already eaten it. 😂 They were so good I even almost forgot to take a picture, to add for this review, because I was too busy eating it. So yes… this review is both a thank you and a warning to the people of McKinney: You’re about to develop a very serious pastry habit. If you’re looking for incredible pastries and a beautiful bakery in McKinney, do yourself a favor and stop by Paris Baguette. Your future self will thank you❣️ Safe to say I’ll definitely be back… probably tomorrow… and honestly the day after that too. 🤣

Just visited Paris Baguette and I’m seriously impressed! The pastries were fresh, the coffee was perfect, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A great spot to relax, grab a quick bite, or meet friends. Wishing this new café lots of success — highly recommend checking it out! ☕🥐
