Crema's Take

This historic Jacksonville roastery is a genuine community hub where serious coffee lovers and cribbage enthusiasts gather for expertly crafted espresso and pour overs alongside hearty breakfast fare. The in-house roasts earn passionate devotion from regulars who return not just for their morning cup but also to grab bags to take home, and the kitchen delivers beautiful, carefully plated dishes like avocado toast with perfectly cooked eggs and bacon that match the care given to every shot pulled. It's the kind of place that fills up early on weekend mornings with people who've made it their third space, where you might wait 30 minutes but emerge feeling like you've been part of something real.

This OG Coffee Roasting House is the Mothership For Ambrosial Coffee, Saucy Cribbage Players and Convivial Community. Not only are the caf and decaf roasts AMAZING, the food is equally a +10 on the "damn that food is good" scale (vegetarian options available). The staff are helpful and friendly, but I have to say that it is the community of human beings that walk through those historic building doors and shortly, but impactfully, inhabit this sanctuary of bean in a cup, while they fill it with some cow (or alternatives) -- that IS the beat, the buzz and the hum of an almost lost, but never forgetten Coffee House Culture. The Rub: For those of us that are in need of a budget-friendly outing that comes with endless refills of java; Good Bean is not ideal. The food is expensive (in-house made, local and fresh) and there is only one refill available with your drink order. Otherwise, my family and I have a deep and nastalgic love for this specific location. Best, ~LaVizsia

Me and my boyfriend were visiting from Arizona. Really cool little town! But wow everything is expensive. I got the biscuits and gravy and 2 eggs. Eggs were fine but was not at all impressed with the biscuits and gravy. The coffee wasn't bad. My boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast, eggs, sausage and the house potatoes. They were actually really good I tried them. I don't recommend the biscuits and gravy though. Don't waste the money on them. OH the cinnamon twist was really good. Almost forgot.

Beautiful historic building with a friendly staff. The avocado toast is delightfully dressed with delicious bacon and egg cooked to order. The cappuccino made with dark roast is creamy. I would revisit this cafe when I am in this area.

Cute spot to sit for breakfast in Jacksonville. It was busy when we arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday morning. They informed us it would be about 30 minutes for food to be ready. You order at the counter and then the seating is first come first served - so then you take your number to a table. We found a table and snacked on a cheese bagel with cream cheese while we waited for our food. The bagel was delicious and tasted very fresh. The drip coffee was good - the vanilla latte was decent. It was unclear of how to tell when the latte would be ready, so I guess it had been sitting on the counter for awhile before we went to check on it. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy with eggs. My scramble was decent - the scrambled eggs were pretty bland, but maybe that’s intentional as you can add salt and pepper at your table if you’d like. They would then like if you clear your table at the bussing cart when you’re finished. All in all - cute place to grab a sit down style breakfast in the heart of Jacksonville, within walking distance to several of the boutique hotels and shops.

My favorite coffee shop in Jacksonville. Great service. Really good coffee. We always buy a bag to take home. Delicious breakfast. Casual atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
