Anna's Cafe
275 Medford St, Boston, MA
Crema's Take
“This neighborhood gem is beloved by regulars who start their mornings here, drawn in by genuinely warm staff, solid coffee, and a full breakfast menu that goes beyond the usual fare—think freshly grilled paninis and proper breakfast sandwiches alongside pastries. The sit-down atmosphere encourages lingering over the news on TV or a good conversation, making it the kind of place where people actually know your name, though some wish they'd open a bit earlier to catch the pre-work crowd. What sets Anna's apart is less about specialty coffee techniques and more about that rare quality of hospitality that leaves you genuinely smiling when you leave.”

I start most mornings here. It's a great little coffee shop. I used to appreciate the morning news on the TVs there, but now I think of prefer nature footage or something. That's my only criticism... the place is great other wise.
I really like this place! My only complaint is the hours — opening at 7 am feels late for a coffee shop, especially with a school nearby and Dunkin’ currently closed. Opening around 6–6:30 am would make it my go to spot
Anna’s is the best! The people who work here are genuinely so friendly and kind, I always leave with a smile on my face. Great customer service, great coffee and great breakfast sandwiches.
The coffee is good and staff is friendly but the breakfast sandwich was terrible. I usually don’t write reviews but this needs to improve. The egg and slice of cheese were still really cold. The bagel was barely toasted and harder than it should be…definitely not fresh. I touched the egg and it was cold to the touch. I really wanted this to be good.
Super friendly cafe, and I love that they grilled my panini sans oil or butter, which adds so many unnecessary calories. I got the Medford, which was chicken, pesto, romaine, cheese, and tomato, it was on a multigrain bread I think. It wasn’t the best sandwich ever but it was good and decently healthy. I also got a hibiscus tea, which was a brand I hadn’t seen before (Garden Andes), and a breakfast croissant sandwich and muffin to go. I didn’t like the muffin but the breakfast sandwich was quite yummy. They also have a lot of chocolates and gave samples! There are stairs. I did not see an alternative to the stairs.
