Crema's Take

This family-owned Filipino spot in Tampa has built serious momentum since opening just months ago, earning devoted fans who've followed them from their food truck days. Beyond the reliably excellent traditional dishes like their standout beef and carrot dumplings, Lucky Tigre strikes that perfect balance of being both a quick grab-and-go destination and a welcoming spot to linger with friends, with warm service that keeps customers coming back despite the Saturday rushes. The cozy indoor space and outside seating create an inviting neighborhood vibe that feels genuine, not polished.

Came to the Lucky Tiger on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly busy but other than having to wait a little bit to have my order taken, the staff was moving as fast as possible. I had the chili-carrot beef dumplings, grilled pork belly bao buns and a Pandan Coconut Mylk Tea. The dumplings are definite stabdouts, specially the chili-oil & sweet chili-carrot sauce, which is not spicy at all and is perfectly balanced. The buns were perfectly steamed, soft and fluffy. The pork belly was grilled well and had great texture but needs a stronger sauce. Overall the bao buns can taste a little bland. The Pandan has a rich coconut flavor and was very refreshing. It was a lovely time sitting outside, getting fresh air and watching people go by. Definitely will be back to try their other offerings, because it's a creative menu.

It was a first time visit for my daughter and I. When we arrived there was a nice crowd there. There is outside seating and inside seating but the inside is on the small side. The place was pretty clean inside and out. The employees were friendly. I felt that the menu could have offered a few more options. We received our orders in a timely manner. Some of the portions could have been larger. The atmosphere inside was good and in my opinion they had some great music playing. My daughter said that her halo halo was the best she has had so far. Sorry, I did not visit the restroom but please note there is only restroom for customers. Our over all experience was positive but unfortunately in our opinion the food was just average. We may visit again to try a different menu item. Sorry, we give the Lucky Tigre a Basic Bites.

Lucky Tigre absolutely delivered. 🌟 The beef and carrot dumplings were the undeniable star. Perfectly tender, deeply savory, and packed with flavor in every bite. Easily the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. Service was incredible from start to finish; attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The mochi crispy chicken was another standout; crunchy on the outside, juicy inside, and totally addictive. And the smash burger x pancit collab in a bao bun? Pure genius. Comfort food meets creativity, and it works *so* well. Lucky Tigre is firing on all cylinders; bold flavors, thoughtful dishes, and top-tier hospitality. Can’t wait to go back. 🐯🔥

If you want good Filipino 🇵🇭 food from a family-owned restaurant and wonderful service, then Lucky Tigre is the place to go. 😋 This restaurant has only been open for 3 months. According to one of the owners I spoke with, they used to be a food truck, then a pop-up restaurant, and now a brick-n-mortar restaurant. The location is not desirable and the atmosphere has more like a 'diner vibe' but THE FOOD is what matters. Plus, they have just opened so I'm sure things will change as their business grows. We got there around 11:45am and they were busy the whole time we were there. I've had this place on my "want to go" list for about a month. Then a close friend of mine sent me a text about the place and asked to go for lunch so we did and I brought my son too. 🙂 As a Filipino myself, I wanted to try a good variety of their food so we ordered several dishes...lumpia, pancit, BBQ chicken skewers, pulled chicken adobo bao buns, tocino dumplings, Lucky fries, Adobo, a salted caramel Ube milk tea, strawberry fruit tea, strawberry calamansi lemonade, a couple pastries (Ensaimada and Senorita Bread), and for dessert...Halo-halo. I took a couple pics after the 3 of us started eating (sorry 🙃) The portions are a good size and their plating presentation is with banana leaves, atchara (pickled side dish), and a cucumber salad. As most Filipinos know, we all cook our food different so flavors are going to vary for each Filipino like myself but for anyone else the food is delicious. One of their most popular dishes is the chicken skewers and I had one of their last 2 orders left for lunch. The chicken literally melted in my mouth and was very well seasoned. I loved it and I see why it's popular. I always make my skewers with pork so this really makes me want to try my marinade recipe with chicken next time. 😉 Their pancit was a bit bland to me but I added some calamansi and a little bit of the tocino dumplings sauce and it was delicious. All the other dishes we ordered were very good. 😋 My son enjoyed the bao buns and the fries. We had leftovers to bring home since we ordered alot of food. I had their version of halo-halo and it was creamy and satisfying for a dessert. My friend had their mango pastry and he said it was very good. I have not tried the pastries I bought yet so can't review those but I'm sure they are good as well. ☺️ I definitely recommend this place and I will be bringing the rest of my family here in the future to try more of their Filipino dishes. 🤩

Had gone to their food truck a while back and loved the food, so when we found out that they moved to a building so we had to go! We came here on a sunday at about 1-2pm. It was pretty busy and finding parking was a bit difficult. We had to sit at the bar since there were no tables available inside, but not a big deal for 2 people. We got the ube matcha and horchata matcha lattes, mochi fried chicken as appetizers, lemongrass bbq skewers and chicken adobo, and halo halo at the end. Everything came out pretty quick for being so busy! The lattes were amazing and the food was so delicious and cooked really well. The halo halo was good too, even as someone who isn’t a huge fan of coconut. The service was great and super attentive! Would love to come again and try everything else!!
