Chase Gardens Cafe & Bistro

330 S Garden Way #160, Springfield, OR

Crema's Take

Tucked away on the ground floor of a Springfield hospital, Chase Gardens surprises visitors with genuinely excellent breakfast sandwiches and creative drinks like their standout London Fog latte that rival dedicated coffee shops. The casual, modest vibe belies serious care in both their food and beverages, making it a solid spot whether you're grabbing coffee between appointments or meeting a friend for a leisurely breakfast. Fair warning: the experience can be hit-or-miss depending on timing and staff, but when they're on, it's a real gem worth seeking out.

Absolutely the best breakfast sandwiches in town! The London Fog latte is fantastic, too. I hope they bring back the rice krispie treats, bc those were amazing 😍

I was a little skeptical at first since the café is located on the first floor of a hospital, and it was slightly confusing to find the first time because the directions lead you inside. Just know it’s on the right side of the hospital and has entrances from both inside and outside—once you know that, it’s easy. The service was amazing. I asked a few questions due to allergies, and the staff was super helpful and honest, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere was a classic café type vibe, quiet enough to study but not uncomfortably silent, with light music and “white” noise. I was able to sit and do my homework comfortably with a delicious brunch snack on the side. The quiche I ordered was the best I’ve ever had: fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. I also grabbed an apple juice. I was in a rush and needed a quiet place to study and snack, and this ended up being the perfect spot. I live nearby, so it’s walking distance, and I’ll definitely be coming back. I think more people, especially college students in the area, should know about this place.

The sandwich I had while waiting for a doctor's appointment was very good, and I wasn't really expecting it from such a modest-looking establishment. This is an above average cafe, and I will be back for another sandwich. It did take a while to get served the sandwich, however.

Customer service was questionable. Ambiance was like a morgue. Decent bacon breakfast burritos. Zero stars should be an option.
