My family and I love coming to Qahwah House. The atmosphere is very welcoming and family-friendly, which makes it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is always kind and attentive, and after coming a few times they even started remembering how I like my coffee, which is such a nice personal touch for a coffee shop. Definitely a place we enjoy visiting regularly. I would recommend this place to anyone!
The matcha was smooth and not overly sweet, which I really liked. The pastries/snacks were fresh and paired well with the drink. I like that you can pick different small bites to enjoy with your coffee. Cozy and clean spot to sit and relax.
Best coffee shop I have ever tried! The coffee here is amazing. You can tell it’s made with quality beans because the flavor is strong but smooth, not bitter or burnt. Very clean ambiance with great pastries. My favorite coffee is a brown sugar shaken espresso and an almond croissant for pastry. They also have great ceremonial grade matchas (mango, strawberry, & rose) are sooo good! Overall I love this place, best in Houston for sure.
Fabulous little coffee shop. I got the Matcha Latte and added caramel to it. The pistacho dream cheesecake was awesome with a knafeh crust. Everything was not excessively sugary - just right. Wish we lived in Houston to visit more often, but next time we are in town, we will definitely be back. This was an awesome little place. Ambiance was cool too.
Ready to be transported to another place? This cafe is so spacious and cultured. They have patio seating and tons of indoor seating.. this place looks like a nice place to relax and catch up with a friend. They have the typical Yemeni coffee selections and pastries. The service was even great you order at the front and they give you a buzzer when your items are finished. I tried the iced adeni chai without sugar and it was pretty standard. I think this place is okay for flavor but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here because I am nearby a different Yemeni style coffee place and I don’t think the distance justifies the taste and price. I also tried the honey comb like pastry with cream cheese and honey and that was okay. The chocolate croissant was basic too. Overall, if you do live nearby I can see this being a great option. Just don’t have too high of expectations on flavor/taste.
