Troya Turkish Delight & Baklava
685 Cannery Row #107, Seaside, CA
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Seaside's Cannery Row, this Turkish cafe is a sensory escape where traditional coffee meets an almost dizzying array of handcrafted Turkish delights—think Dubai chocolate rolls, rose-flavored confections, and halwa varieties that taste even better when the genuinely warm staff encourages you to sample before committing. The decor transports you with authentic Turkish tumblers and details, while the relaxed, unhurried vibe makes it equally perfect for a quick caffeine boost or lingering over pastries with friends and family.”

Great looking Turkish cafe and delight shop. They have an array of different types of Turkish sweets and desserts. The ambience and vibe is great as well as the decor. Turkish tumblers and other small cute items were also on display. Backlava was on the pricey side. $3-5 for small pieces. The staff was superbly rude when I went. The overall experience could have been better if they were a bit nicer to talk to rather than being shouted at passive aggressively.
Troya Turkish Delight (Coffee & Treats) is an absolute must-visit if you find yourself wandering Cannery Row and need a serious caffeine kick or a satisfying sugar fix. I tried their traditional Turkish coffee with medium sugar, and it was pretty darn amazing and strong—exactly the kind of bold, authentic brew you hope for. The baklava is hands-down the best I’ve ever had, featuring incredibly flaky layers and a wonderful balance of sweet honey and rich pistachio flavors. Beyond the menu, the hospitality truly sets this place apart. The owner was very kind, providing some samples and sharing details about the different traditional treats they have available. It is a great place for an extremely strong coffee and a perfect spot to satisfy a sweet tooth while exploring the area. Plus cozy outdoor seating.
Probably one of the most unique turkish delight rolls I ever seen. I had the the dubai chocolate rolls, marshmellow, rice pop, and mango delights. It’s a must try, and i think every item is really good. I have sensitive teeth and the sweets here do not aggravate my gums at all. The sweets slowly melt in your mouth and it’s not too sticky at all. I am definitely a returning customer. It’s a must try for everyone!
Did you know besides chocolate my favorite sweet treat is Turkish Delight? I will have to say after visiting Troya that Chocolate somewhat trailed behind the Delights. Oh my goodness! And the selection of every yummy treat was so uplifting and beautiful. The perfect place for a date with my kiddo after a visit at the Aquarium. This place was 7 stars, this place is outta this world!
From the moment we walked in, the hosts were friendly, inviting, and genuinely happy to have us there. We were encouraged to taste several halwa options, which immediately set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable visit. A special shoutout to Zainab, who helped us big time during our visit. She was incredibly patient with our tasting requests and took the time to walk us through a wide variety of sweets, explaining the differences and helping us find what suited our taste best. There was absolutely no rush, just thoughtful guidance and great hospitality. We eventually settled on a couple of baklava varieties along with Turkish delights filled with nuts, and everything we picked was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. If you’re in Monterey and have a sweet tooth (or even if you don’t), this spot is definitely worth a visit.
