Royal Ground Coffee

Wonderful cafe! Firstly the coffee is quality 👍 strong and freshly roasted. Secondly the pastries are on point for sure, with a unique variety. Thirdly at atmosphere was lively, with very cozy seating, spaciousness, and a unique touch of the Asian culture. But for me what makes this cafe so special is the owners. I got the chance to connect with them and they took care of me like i was family. You can feel the love for their cafe and it makes for a memorable experience.

I've lived in San Rafael for four years now and my coffee journey has been evolving. I didn't drink coffee until about two years ago. I didn't know what I didn't or did like then. I've moved between multiple places as "my place" several times. For me originally the most important thing was a comfy space to sit for a couple hours and coffee was second. I didn't want a coffee shop with wood benches and stools and not a single soft back to be seen! Over the years I've changed to want better coffee as my taste has evolved. But the vibe is still very important to me. I finally tried royal ground and I'm glad I did. You ever walk into a place and know it's your place? That's what it is here. And they roast their own coffee so you don't have to sacrifice great coffee for a nice vibe. Wish I would have tried it earlier!

Best coffee beans in town!!! To treat myself, I bought a pound of decaf, which comes with a free coffee. The bagel sandwiches, mouthwatering baked goods, and protein options (like hardboiled eggs) make this a perfect meet-up spot for breakfast!or lunch. They have a few tables outside that are great for dog-owners. Delightful owners, and nice quiet music in the cozy cafe where I watched the world go by today. Ahhh.

Such a lovely cafea! I went this morning with my family and we really enjoyed it. The staff were super friendly and nice to chat with. The place feels fresh and cozy. Highly recommend! ☕✨

You have to stop here for morning coffee and beyond! Lenny & Chang took such good care of us every morning on our Mt. Tam hiking trip. They are welcoming and warm. Chang makes foamed milk like meringue! Every sandwich is made fresh and with lots of love. The place is spotless. Total gem! Highly recommend!
