Crema's Take

Silver Cow is a wonderfully eclectic neighborhood gathering spot that blends craft beer expertise with genuine specialty coffee, all wrapped in a queer-friendly, convivial atmosphere that regulars describe as feeling like home. Whether you're settling in with a laptop for hours, catching a friend's art show, or just discovering your next favorite brewery through the owner's thoughtful recommendations, the reasonable prices and unhurried vibe make it easy to linger. The staff—like Courtney—genuinely seem to love having you there, and the aesthetic space with ample seating makes it perfect for both solo contemplation and spirited conversation with locals.

The Silver Cow is hands-down one of the best bars in Jacksonville. The beer is always cold, the prices are fair, and the people – staff and regulars alike – make it feel like home. Food options are limited, but they let you bring in food from nearby spots, which is a big plus. There’s always something going on here, whether it’s a music showcase, open mic, art show, Jaguars watch party, or a holiday celebration. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and a true community feel, The Silver Cow is it.

I visited several times during a recent trip to Jacksonville. This is a great neighborhood pub where I met a lot of sweet locals and had a blast supporting my friend's art show. Queer, convival, warm and inviting are words that describe the Silver Cow. Plenty of non-alcoholic drink selections also.

We went in a little before closing and Courtney was more than happy to whip up some coffees for us. Super aesthetic coffee shop/bar with lots of seating. Prices were reasonable and the experience was very personal. Plus lots of games and activities to spend time doing with friends

Exceptionally funky hole in the wall that is a must visit for anyone looking to expand their craft beer palette. Due to Silver Cow I've discovered breweries in Tampa, Wisconsin, Colorado and more that provide excellent beer. Don't be scared to dig through the coolers and experiment

Love the new Silver Cow!!! Great beer selection, friendly staff, chill vibe ... just like the old Silver Cow, but better. Great location across Murray Hill Theatre. Charcuterie board rocks, too! Great place to hang out with old friends and make new ones. Love it!
