Crema's Take

Sabaidee brings authentic Lao and Thai street food energy to Dallas with bold, unapologetic flavors that hit all the right notes—spicy, sour, sweet—making it a serious contender despite occasional inconsistencies. It's the kind of casual spot where you can grab quick noodles with charcoal depth or a fragrant curry, generous portions included, and actually feel like you've landed somewhere real rather than diluted. Perfect for meeting up with friends who appreciate genuine Southeast Asian cooking that doesn't play it safe.

I'm very disappointed. This restaurant previously had excellent food, but my recent experience was poor. I ordered the Tom Kha, which I get regularly, but the soup I received was overpowered by curry flavor. It wasn't the dish I expected, and the restaurant's name doesn't reflect this kind of cooking.

Excellent service, and I really enjoyed the food. The spring rolls needed more flavor in the roll itself, not just to rely on the sauce. But the noodles had a nice charcoal flavor which is one of my indicators of a great Asian restaurant. However the prices are really high.

one of those spots where you realize street food can be both casual and seriously good. Flavors hit hard—spicy, sour, sweet—exactly what you want from Lao and Thai cooking. Portions are generous without being overkill, and everything tastes fresh. Staff are warm, the place feels relaxed, and prices don’t make you flinch. Not fancy, but that’s the charm—you come here for bold flavors, not white tablecloths. Easily one of the better street food-style stops around.

My bf said this place had really good Thai food and he was right. I always like to try the Pad Thai and lately it’s been a hit or miss. A few days ago it was a miss, since the sauce was different and pink. Not the sauce I like. But this place had the sauce I enjoy, so it was a hit. Not as saucy as another place I tried and enjoyed, but it was still really yummy. My bf got the Pad See Ew and he enjoyed it as well. Overall, a great place to try if you’re looking for delicious Thai food.

I ordered the Combo Shrimp and Tofu Panang Curry (spicy level) which was gluten free. The rice and curry were served in separate containers and a colorful plate was given to eat on. The shrimp and tofu were perfect! The Panang Curry was the perfect spice level for my palette. The bell peppers were fresh with the right amount of crunch. The rice was a bit too dry. Its consistency seemed better suited for a fried rice dish. Overall, I was satisfied with what I ordered. The drinks are in a refrigerated box. There is no ice present which was a disappointment. The music playing in the background was pop rock. I would have preferred Thai music. This location seems to do a lot of pickups from delivery services in the area, but the dining area is comfortable with booths and regular contemporary tables. I love the artistic decorated wall at the back of the restaurant. I have included pictures of the food ordered and the interior design. The noise level in the kitchen could be heard in the dining area and sometimes competed with the music playing. At least the cooks sounded happy while they were working. The gentleman, Dharmateia V., at the front taking orders was helpful.
