Crema's Take

I appreciate your interest, but I should let you know that Paintin' Pottery appears to be a paint-your-own-pottery studio rather than a coffee shop. While it sounds like a wonderful, family-friendly creative space with an impressive selection of ceramics and paints, it doesn't match Crema's focus on specialty coffee discovery. If you have a coffee shop in De Pere you'd like me to write about instead, I'd be happy to help!

Thank you for having this place! It’s a great way to get back into my inner child and enjoy something I have always loved to do!

We were at Painting pottery today 1/19/26, my 6 year old grandson loves this place. He was reaching for a piece to paint his sleeve caught another and the wing broke off. The workers were so nice, he was on the verge of a melt down as this is a huge treat, they calming assured us it was an accident, don’t worry! They helped us get another dragon to paint! I asked 4 times to pay for the broken one the staff just smiled and reassured us accidents happen. They were so nice and kind. We had a blast! Then while waiting in line the ladies complimented my grandsons dragon and again were amazing. This was such a wonderful way to spend time together

I hadn't heard back about my pottery after almost a week. Called and they said it was just delayed. More days passed and still nothing so I called again, and this time what sounded like the owner told me that the pottery had been dropped and broken. She was very nice and apologetic. She offered me a refund to my card and told me there would be a shipment mid-week with the pottery I had made coming in as it was not currently in stock. I went the following weekend, and there was not the piece that I had done in stock. I asked one of the employees at the register, who brought me a bag filled with the broken pieces of my pottery, with a hand-written "sorry" note, saying I had a 20 dollar in-store credit. When I mentioned that they didn't have my pottery in stock anymore, she was not apologetic at all and told me the 20 dollars could be put towards a different piece. She also was very casual about the pottery being broken, saying "it was just one of those things where we bumped the drying rack and it fell". This situation frustrated me as first off, the 20 dollars wasn't even the full amount I paid, there was a few dollars of tax along with it. I am a college student home for break, so I have a limited amount of time to come back, and for them just write me an in-store credit when I barely had the time to come back is not right. The worst part was, they had no more items similar to what I originally made, so I ended up picking one of the least expensive mugs to make instead, which cost 30 dollars. They charged me for the difference and tax on that item as well, even though it was their fault my piece broke and their fault they didn't have it in stock. I already had to spend another 3+ hours of my time remaking it, the least they could do is be understanding and not charge me any additional money, although I feel breaking my piece in the first place and me having to call twice over the span of ten days just to find that out warrants no charges at all to me, including the cost of the original piece. Super disappointed with how this was handled. Although the owner on the phone was nice, clearly none of that information was properly told to their employees.

Very cute setup, several ceramic and paint options, essentials provided and ready to use. -1⭐️ as staff were uninvolved and unwilling to provide any personal assistance when acquired. Slightly over priced $$$$.

My daughter and 2 of her friends met one of their friends and her mom for a morning of girl talk, giggles and painting. Not only do they have a HUGE variety to pick from but a wide variety of colors and ideas of how to decorate and paint your item as well.
