Sweet Elena's Bakery & Café
465 Olympia Ave Suite D, Pacific Grove, CA
Crema's Take
“Tucked into a charming Pacific Grove neighborhood, Sweet Elena's is a beloved spot where excellent espresso drinks and genuinely exceptional baked goods (think buttery croissants and cookies worth tears) share space with local art and a genuinely welcoming vibe. The intimate farmhouse-inspired café draws a loyal crowd to its adorable front patio and newer outdoor seating, making it the kind of place where you'll want to linger over coffee even if you only stopped by for a quick pastry. Dog-friendly and family-oriented, it's become the neighborhood's gathering spot—casual enough for a breakfast pit stop but special enough that regulars keep coming back.”

Quick stop for breakfast before hitting the road. This is a cute spot in an neighborhood location. The front patio was adorable and the walk up counter well appointed with mouth-watering baked goods. I had the GF spinach and Swiss quiche and my partner had the bacon and egg croissant. Both were satisfying and tasty. The coffee drinks were equally satisfying. I had the Oat Hiney Latte but the stand out drink was my partner's Horchata Latte (he always chooses better stuff 😅). Definitely worth a stop to sit down or grab and go.
Small place with amazing baked goods and espresso. Find local artist works on the walls and to go treats read to take home. New outdoor seating area provides more seating but always packed.
We had two quiches, one pecan pie and a blueberry pie. The price was higher than we expected. The quiches and blueberry pie were very good, and the first few bites of pecan pie were too, but it ended up being much too sweet (and I do have a sweet tooth).
I almost cried when I had their chocolate chip cookie! They have good options, and the items are reasonably priced too. The croissant was buttery, and flaky. The farmhouse-inspired space creates an inviting atmosphere. Customer service is good.
I love the decorations of this cafe, love the outdoor seating, the lady was friendly, i got a latte and it was good and quickly. I also got the cheese danish with strawberry, and it was delicious as well, i asked if she could microwave it, but she said the oven is not working! They have a sign that no dogs are allowed except service dogs. They open from 8-4 pm, cameras inside too to keep you feel safe! I am not sure they have a wifi. I didn't ask. The only thing is i wish my food and drinks were served with real plates and cups instead of disposable ones! The only thing it lacks of 1 star. I will go back!
