Crema's Take

Longhorn Cafe is a generous, unpretentious breakfast and lunch spot where the pancakes arrive golden and the portions are substantial enough to justify the modest prices—exactly the kind of place road-trippers to Big Bend return to on their way back through town. The rustic dining room welcomes families and lingerers alike with the kind of attentive service that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit, and the menu spans traditional American comfort food alongside solid Mexican options that won't leave you wanting.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

This place is so amazing and you MUST stop. Huge portions, home made, and affordable. No sysco truck stops here! I travel a lot over Texas and have eaten many chicken fried steaks. This is by far one of the best I've had.

This was really one of the best American breakfasts I've had in a while. Good service, food was out quick, and the quality was spectacular. The price was definitely worth it! I personally got the brisket breakfast and it was amazing.

Food is so good here. Portions were large & prices cheap. We stopped here on the way to Big Bend. We loved it so much that we plan to eat here again on the way back.
