Crema's Take
“Echelon Coffee has cultivated a genuinely inviting sanctuary where the atmosphere itself feels like the main draw—reviewers consistently praise its warm, peaceful vibe and friendly staff, making it an ideal spot to linger over a drink. While their espresso earns solid respect from coffee purists, what really sets them apart is their commitment to handcrafted touches like matcha whisked to order and housemade pastries and food, paired with thoughtful details like treats for visiting dogs that show they're thinking about the whole experience.”

So, this is going to be a strange review for a coffee spot. The pastries are extremely good. Very awesome. Coffee on the other hand I was not impressed with. I'm much more into strong coffee. This coffee reminds me of Dunkin' Donuts or gas station coffee. Way to watered down and the beans are not strong at all. I'd go back for pastries, but not coffee. I tried this coffee shop while I was visiting Springfield. I had a latte and it was decent. It could've been hotter - it was just warm. I liked that they gave my dog a treat. We went through the drive-thru and service was very slow. It wasn't very busy, but the order took a long time. The barista was friendly though, but service could be a bit quicker.
We went to Echelon Coffee in Springfield, MO, and it instantly became my favorite coffee shops. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit—warm, inviting, and so peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly, the kind of genuine kindness that makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk in the door. Their coffee is on another level. They roast their own beans and have their own blend, and when I say it’s the best coffee I’ve probably ever had, I’m not exaggerating. The flavor was so smooth and rich that I could easily drink it black. You can truly taste the freshness and the craft behind it. We also ordered the banana chocolate muffin, and it was perfect—moist, flavorful, and baked just right. You can tell they they do everthing in excellence. The shop was clean, cozy, and had plenty of comfortable seating—great for relaxing, studying, or catching up with a friend. If you’re in Springfield and love good coffee, friendly people, and a peaceful atmosphere, you absolutely need to stop by Echelon Coffee. I can’t recommend it enough!
This is for the new location in Iron Grain District. All the food is made in house and delish! Matcha is whisked to order, and the interior is beautiful.
Absolute legit coffee shop, got so lucky I was staying at a nearby hotel for one night and ventured out in the morning for some real coffee. This place did not disappoint. I didn’t have the patience to wait for a pour over so I went with whatever they had on drip and it was perfection The space is inviting and…spacious! It wasn’t loud at all either, although I imagine it could be when more crowded. Wish I could have stayed longer!
