Coffeebar
9620 S. McCarran Blvd, Reno, NV
Crema's Take
“This cozy McCarran-area hideaway excels at creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere perfect for lingering over a cappuccino or settling in with your laptop—though coffee quality can be inconsistent, and prices lean toward the premium side. The team is genuinely friendly and the space itself charms with thoughtful ceiling decorations and a distinctly laid-back vibe that keeps regulars coming back year after year.”

I really wanted to like this place because I like supporting local shops, but as others have said, this place is wildly overpriced. The coffee and the food tastes normal but it is far too expensive for what you get. Paying $10-13 for small “sandwiches” is quite an ask when they can’t even get it out to you in a timely manner, and of course, expect a tip on top of that. I’ve never waited less than 15-20 minutes at non-busy times to get a 12oz cup of coffee and a small bite to eat. It is not a place where things run quickly and they don’t even do you the courtesy of giving you a heads up about that. It would be totally fine if they said “it’ll be about a 15 minute wait for that food item” or something. Another issue, as others have pointed out, is parking. This place has hardly any parking available because it’s shared with so many other businesses in the immediate area. It really was a poor location choice. I’ve chosen not to come here several times because there was no place to park. And finally, the staff is not very welcoming or kind. My very first time here, I didn’t realize they didn’t put lids on to-go orders. I politely asked for a lid and the person was so rude when they said “umm, the lids are behind you”. I’ve had staff give me the most annoyed looks for standing off to the side and looking over the menu real quick before jumping in line. I’ve stood at the front of lines and the person taking orders has just carried on a conversation with one of the other staff members before acknowledging me or taking my order. And even basic manners of saying please, thank you, and you’re welcome are such rareties. I will definitely be spending money at shops with better prices, better service, and better human to human skills.
This is a fantastic coffee house tucked into a business area off of mcarran. The cappuccino was perfect, all of the food I've had there has been excellent and the people working there are very nice. Worth going out of your way a little to support a local business.
Coffeebar McCarran has a 100% chill ambience—perfect for relaxing or hanging out. However, the coffee was disappointing: not hot, no real taste, and definitely not worth it if you’re going just for coffee.
Had some yummy coffee drinks here along with some small breakfast bites. The inside has fun decorations hanging from the ceiling.
I’ve been coming to these Coffeebars for years — back when they even offered a discount for biking in! The atmosphere is great, both here and at the Mt. Rose Street location in Reno. They offer a solid selection of pastries, lunch items, and beverages. Unfortunately, the quality and service have declined over time. Yesterday, my coffee was barely warm and took at least five minutes to prepare.
