Crema's Take
“Blue Copper Coffee Room is an espresso-focused destination where serious coffee enthusiasts gather, rotating single-origin options and maintaining meticulous grinder calibration that shows real craft and care. The sprawling space—with its indoor bar seating, patio area, and consistently well-executed pour overs—invites you to linger for business meetings or solo study sessions, paired with pastries that actually deserve their price tag.”

I’ve had 3 business meetings at this location. One with JJ, one with YS, and one with TN (for that one we were on the patio). This place is always a little crowded. And here’s the thing I’ve found about business— nothing comes of these meetings. You just sit and chat with people who you find to be friendly, charming, and engaging. I would never consider that a waste of time! So what if nothing comes of it! Good coffee and good company while you’re talking about the things you’re most passionate about!?!? Are you kidding? I’d do it every day!
I wanted to love this place, but was unimpressed. The best word to describe this shop is pretentious. The staff aren't friendly, the coffee subpar, and the pastries aren't worth the price. We went to order and received the Gen z stare from the cashier. Their pastries aren't labeled and when asked what they were, the cashier just pointed to the menu on the counter. My friend and I have both worked in customer service before and had to laugh at the lack of social skills. When my friend got her pastry, it had a hair on it. Defs won't be going back. There are so many other great, locally-owned coffee shops in the area.
I buy bags of beans here. Good selection. I think they only do light roasts. This is the first place I started buying artisan coffee. Now I'm ruined. Thanks Blue Copper. Sincerely though.
I love a place with a rotating single origin option for espresso, and it’s even better when they are committed enough to make sure the grinder is dialed in before they serve it. Blue Copper is definitely your best chance for an awesome coffee in SLC, I haven’t found the same level of consistency or commitment anywhere else. I usually order their flat white or a cortado and it’s always delicious.
Come relax with a delicious, consistent, cup of coffee done right. Blue Copper has indoor, bar, and outdoor sitting. Delectable pastries that pair perfectly with your Joe. The baristas are well educated in different combinations and work efficiently. There’s also unique small batch coffees brewed every morning. Milk alternatives are also available. We purchased a mocha, cortado, lemon poppy seed cake, cinnamon cake, and a small brew black. Parking is limited but, worth it.
