L.A. Bakery Cafe

I’ve been a fan of LA Bakery since it first opened in Carson and it was just the tiny building with a couple small tables! The food is consistently delicious with fresh ingredients and real flavor. Hands down my favorite lunch spot in Carson (although they also have great breakfast items!), but I also like to pop in to grab a pastry or sweet treat too.

I have been enjoying LA Bakery for many years, and most recently had the amazing opportunity to organize a wonderful, meaningful event in their rentable private room. Kat was amazing to work with and helped us plan everything down to the details. All of the staff were incredibly helpful, preparing the space and the catered food for us and our guests, of course accommodating food allergies and sensitivities as needed. As always, the delicious offerings did not disappoint! My favorites this time were the bacon breakfast burrito, the brownies, and the peanut butter cookies—but the falafel wrap has caused me to shed happy tears in the past and I recommend giving that a try as well! We are so thankful for all the hard work that went into making our event special, and I hope to visit LA Bakery many, many times in the future!

My favorite place for lunch with a friend in Carson City. Clean, bright, cheery. The food is great and the servers are mostly the same friendly faces every time. There is a nice patio out back when the weather is fine. Their coffee bar is excellent. They have a VERY DANGEROUS selection of baked goodies and beautiful cakes front and center by the cashier. And they have a neat little artsy shop by the coffee counter. The whole thing is very well done and consistently excellent. Not surprisingly, it can be busy at lunch, but I have never had to wait for a table. At busy times, I have had to park around the block, which is unusual for Carson, but EASY PEASY if you come from a bigger city.

My go to is half a tasty tuna sandwich with salad. Super delicious and I can choose the gluten-free bread option which is so tasty. Atmosphere is great and bustling especially during lunch hour yet staff is always very friendly and wait time is short. If you have a sweet tooth the pastry and cake selection is extensive with sugar- and gluten free options to choose from. During warmer weather you can sit in the sweet and sheltered courtyard. Whenever I am in Carson City I plan for a stop!

Ordered the salmon melt and iced americano. The food was so tasty and the coffee excellent! The service was also excellent. The ladies who helped me with the order were so helpful and suggested substitutions to the dairy on the meal. They were very kind and patient. I really like that they did not rush me. The place is very nice and spacious. I like the gift shop they have. I definitely will be back .
