Living Room Coffeehouse La Jolla

Crema's Take
“This beloved La Jolla spot captivates visitors with its genuinely cozy, vintage-cute atmosphere and live music nights that transform it into a vibrant community gathering place. While the food can be hit-or-miss, their chai tea latte is a standout that keeps people coming back, and the welcoming ambience makes it an ideal refuge for a relaxing afternoon or evening out.”

This looked like a warm and inviting place to have lunch and it turned out to be very relaxing with the music they were playing . Everything was great except every single table was taken by kids on their laptops either doing homework or playing games. We got the last table that was dirty but they came right away and cleaned it. I guess don’t go after 2:00 because it’s catered to coffee drinkers with laptops. I only saw 3 tables with some kind of food. Many people walked in looking for tables to sit down and eat and nothing was available so they left. The Sicilian Muffuletta was very good and tasty, and huge, it definitely shareable.
Good ambience and nice decor making it look cozy Average food mainly because all what we ordered were greasy Ordered using the kiosk- and took a number for the table. But that was of no use. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the Turkish coffee and chicken shawarma.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to this delightful establishment. The atmosphere was truly welcoming and provided a perfect setting for relaxation. The culinary offerings were exceptional, with each dish prepared to perfection. Furthermore, the coffee served was of outstanding quality, enhancing the overall experience. We highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone seeking a memorable outing.. staff was polite and very helpful. I strongly recommend this place to visit.
We came here on Friday night for their late night music and had a great time. The music and food were both amazing! We shared some dishes and my favorite was the baba ganoush / dips platter, Greek salad and truffle fries. I’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu! If you come on Friday night for the entertainment definitely make reservations ahead of time.
The Living Room Café has such a cozy, vintage-cute vibe with its seating and decor—perfect for a relaxed stop during a La Jolla walk. Their chai tea latte is definitely the star here, rich and flavorful, one of the best I’ve had in the area. The desserts are decent—not the absolute best, but still enjoyable and a nice complement to the drinks. Honestly, I’d come back mainly for the chai latte—it’s worth the visit.
