Starry Night Coffee
112 S College Ave #100, Fort Collins, CO
Crema's Take
“Starry Night is a beloved Fort Collins independent spot where the coffee is crafted with real care—regulars rave about their vanilla lattes being made to absolute perfection—and the baked goods are genuinely worth the trip, especially their showstopping three-layer chocolate cakes that locals swear are the best in town. Beyond the excellent espresso and pastries, what really sets this place apart is the welcoming vibe and genuinely helpful staff who go out of their way to guide both coffee devotees and non-coffee friends to exactly what they'll love.”

Starry Night is such a vibe. I stopped in for a White Iced Mocha and the Vegan Beetvich, and both were incredible. It’s hard to find a vegan sandwich that actually has some personality, but the Beetvich nailed it. The barista was also super cool. If you’re in Old Town, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
OMG, this place has THE best chocolate cakes (regular chocolate and Mocha) in town!!! Yes, I've tried almost all the cakes in town. :) It's three layers of moistness, decadent frosting, and affordable! My only request is to consider just buttercream frosting, without cream cheese added, on the cakes that aren't carrot cake so I can eat even more of the yummy cakes. Other places have shrunk the size, lessened the frosting, and increased the price...but not here. And, the team is always so friendly!
This place is 5 star all the way. My wife and I come here at least once a week for our favorites. I usually have a vanilla latte which is made to perfection. I don’t just drink it I savor it. My wife gets a pumpkin chai which she says is the best she has ever had. We both love the ambiance of the casual setting. The place has been around since 1992. I hope it’s around for a very long time.
The cake was phenomenal and huge!! One slice is definitely big enough for two people. The alpine berry tea was okay, but just came in bags. If you are a tea only person, there are other places in town that have more variety! But this shop was delicious and cozy and a great spot to read and slow down for a little bit!
Cute, simple, delicious. Their staff was very friendly and accommodating to a friend of mine who is not a coffee drinker. They had a lot of questions and their staff was so helpful with their answers. Quality espresso that gave me some energy, but the star of the show was that Peanut Butter Bar! Soft oats covered in peanut buttery goodness and chocolate that tasted almost like fudge. SO FREAKING GOOD. I hate when an oat bar is tough to eat or scrapes up the roof of your mouth. This was everything and when great with my coffee. It was basically dessert. so if you're not a sweets person, steer clear. More for me! Legit sad, I don't live closer to this spot. It was a great stop before heading to check out all the cool shops in Old Town For Collins. Iced coffee in hand, headed for the thrift store? A perfect start to the day. Thank you, Starry Night Cafe.
