Crema's Take

Nestled in Westbrook, this casual cafe strikes an appealing balance between quick coffee runs and lingering afternoons, with genuinely friendly staff and a standout outdoor seating area that keeps regulars coming back. Their coffee hits the mark—lattes are particularly praised—and they've built a solid reputation for fresh sandwiches and pastries, though their breakfast burritos could use some refinement. Whether you're grabbing a matcha latte to go or settling in with a cranberry sandwich, it's the kind of welcoming neighborhood spot that does the fundamentals well without pretension.

Coffee and pastry is fine. Staff is great. Breakfast burritos are a serious liability in their current form, and I cannot recommend them, but maybe after some more research, they can up their game.

We used to love this spot. I still enjoy the outdoor seating and appreciate that they’ve made an indoor seating option, too. The staff is typically friendly. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of the food has changed. We were underwhelmed and disappointed today… My husbands bread was super hard, almost like it was a day or two old and stale. My wrap (Spice of Life) was much smaller than it’s been in the past, lacked the greens that it usually comes with, the chicken salad was dry and wasn’t flavorful, and it’s supposed to taste like curry. Not to mention we paid $27 for the 2 sandwiches. I just don’t think it’s worth what we received today.

Only sampled one sandwich with cranberry & it was pretty good! The chicken salad was light but complimented with the sauce. Matcha latte was definitely fresh, needed some sugar for my liking. Only complaint from my friend who had the roast beef on a baguette & my multi grain bread was that they seemed a bit stale? Otherwise quick, fresh service.

I’d like to provide a compliment sandwich :) (pun intended): ~~ The food is pretty good! Haven’t had anything there yet that I wouldn’t order again based on the actual quality of the food ~~ — — The prices are getting silly. I paid $8 for the sandwich in this photo. Half a sandwich on sourdough. As you can see, it is considerably smaller than an iPhone. And what happened to the chips? I get that prices have risen across the board, but shrinkflation has really done a number on this place.. — — ~~ The second compliment would have to be that I saved a ton of time eating lunch because the sandwich was the size of a deck of cards 😊 ~~ This review had more substance than my actual lunch.

Casual spot that’s great to pick up sandwiches and coffee. The latte was amazing and sandwich was tasty and warm. Great for take out!
