Alaska House of Coffee
403 W Northern Lights Blvd, Anchorage, AK
Crema's Take
“Alaska House of Coffee is a beloved Anchorage staple where the baristas genuinely seem to enjoy being there, creating an atmosphere so welcoming that families keep coming back and regulars trust them completely with creative surprises. Their blended frappes and seasonal specials like pumpkin spice are executed with real care, and the pastries—particularly their ham and cheese croissants—pair perfectly with drinks that locals say are consistently excellent. It's the kind of place where you're greeted by name, your kids feel comfortable, and you can linger without any pressure, making it as much about community as it is about exceptional coffee.”

Pumpkin spice was so good. Service was top tier. Also the ham and cheese croissant were amazing!
Hands down my go-to for coffee. The blended frappes are incredible. Every time we say "surprise us!" for lotus, the blends are incredible. I love getting myself a beautiful hand bouquet of flowers during the season. Great location. Quality coffee. Lovely aesthetic. Wonderful owner! 10/10 would highly recommend!
I've been going here for years now, and I've still never gotten a bad drink! Everything on their menu is delicious, the staff are all lovely, and everyone genuinely seems happy to be there. I could not recommend this place more!
My all time favorite coffee shop in Anchorage. The coffee is always good and the girls who work there are amazing! My kids look forward to going too because they are always so family friendly. We generally don't have food items, but coffee (both cold and hot) and redbulls are always on point! 👌
This place has really gone down hill. I used to order from here several times a week and the people were so bubbly and friendly, but the last few months the people have been less friendly and the food is inedible. $6 for a microwaved sandwich with a slice of american cheese and a couple slices of square cold cuts on a costco croissant is outrageous to begin with. Add insult to injury by sticking it in the microwave for so long the croissant becomes rubbery. So i stopped ordering them heated. This time they put frozen meat and cheese in the middle of said Costco croissant and my smoothie is half melted. The pic is my attempt to thaw it out. I'm effin done with this place.
