Uncle Fung Coffee Stall

Crema's Take
“Uncle Fung Coffee Stall brings a slice of Southeast Asian café culture to San Gabriel with their Malaysian-style setup and distinctively earthy Indonesian espresso that trades traditional coffee notes for something more intriguing and grounded. Their signature creations like the Dirty Milo and Double Matcha showcase a playful approach to flavor combinations, blending sweetened cream elements with more restrained base flavors for real balance. It's the kind of peaceful, vintage-tinged spot that fills up because people genuinely want to linger there—the calm atmosphere and thoughtful drinks make it feel less like a quick caffeine stop and more like a genuine escape.”

Cutest new coffee spot in Alhambra. It’s super crowded all the time in the best way. Got the dirty Milo (one of their most popular coffees) 25% sweet with oat milk and just wow. Super good! Lots of fun Indonesian snacks. Great quality coffee and fun atmosphere. Will be back
I’ve been coming here to get their double matcha and the few times I’ve gotten it, it was nice and rich. The matcha itself is not very sweet but the matcha cream is sweetened so it’s a nice combination! Only once I got their double matcha and the matcha drink itself felt slightly watered down, and not as strong as its usual taste. Definitely my fave place to come for their double matcha.
The coffee is... interesting. It is unlike traditional espresso and latte drinks, which is suspect is due to the Indonesian beans. It doesn't have that "coffee" taste but instead an earthy and slightly herbal taste, like a tea. It was tasty, just not what I expected. But that doesn't make it bad. Now that I know what it is, I would definitely return, but perhaps not when I'm craving a coffee fix. The interior is lovely. It has a retro Asian theme with posters of old cigarette ads and other things, and a brown/wooden theme that feels like you stepped back in time. I liked it.
A Wonderful, Calm Coffee Spot Such a peaceful and cozy coffee shop — a perfect place to sit down, relax, and soak in the calm atmosphere. The music is just right, the coffee is amazing, and the whole vibe invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. The service is pleasant and unobtrusive, which makes the experience even better. Bravo!
We came by for some coffee because all the nice yelp reviews caught our eyes. This is a Malaysian style coffee stall. I love the vintage decorations. It reminded me when I visited Asia. We ordered Horlicks, putu, and dirty Milo. We also got a pandan flavored pastry, and they can warm it up for you if preferred. Staff were attentive and friendly. The coffee is strong enough that can help me get through the day. Putu coffee has a good pandan flavor, which is a perfect match to the coffee. Horlicks and dirty Milo are very similar in my opinion. They tasted like mocha, but not an exactly because it also has a hint of saltiness to it. The pastry was a disappointment that it was tasteless. Highly recommending the coffee, but not the pastry. Will come back for more coffee.
