Jersey South Bagels

Love this place. So glad we have a bagel shop in West Asheville now. You can watch them cranking out fresh bagels and small batches as you order. There's a decent chance you'll get one that is still warm from the oven. They have fun specials to. I got the everything bagel with crab rangoon cream cheese. Fresh, unique, and delicious. Washed it down with a blood orange sparkling ✨️ Earl Grey from infruition tea. Definitely recommended.

The nova lox w/ fixins bagel holds a special place in my heart. Perfectly prepared, proportioned and absolutely delicious. Fantastic ingredients aside, THE difference between a good bagel sandwich and a GREAT bagel sandwich is its ability to hold together. Jersey South’s is a great bagel sandwich. Combine that with excellent artisanal brewed coffee and you have a consistent winner here.

I could cry I’m so happy Asheville has this new bagel spot. AND THEY’RE ACTUALLY AMAZING! The outside is beautifully toasted and the inside is so light and airy. I get half a dozen and make breakfast sandwiches for myself for the week with their lox spread and scallion cream cheese. Their lox cream cheese isn’t just lox but it’s deliciously lemon zesty with bits of dill and capers. The people that work there are really kind and very speedy. They also have many kinds of bagels to choose from.

Best bagels in Asheville! We found Claire’s fantastic bagels back when she was a little drive-in pickup place in Woodfin. Look at her now! She has her own place near just off Patton Ave. in a plaza just before Sam’s. Plenty of parking, specialty cream cheeses, some sandwiches(but still focusing on her authentic bagels), coffee and more! Highly recommend!

Thank goodness, Asheville finally has good bagels! These are legit NY/NJ bagels, albeit a little softer than I expected. Great flavor, great tear, and all the good flavors. They also have an incredible vegan cream cheese from White Squirrel for the non dairy folks out there. Bagels go quick and there’s a line before they even open, so plan accordingly!
