The Ivy Tearoom

Crema's Take
“Tucked away in Albuquerque, this tearoom crafts an experience that goes beyond your typical tea service, with lavish, individually designed rooms that feel genuinely special and thoughtfully decorated. The seasonal menus and customizable tea selections pair beautifully with thoughtful pastry pairings, while staff who are genuinely warm and attentive make every visit feel like you're visiting a friend's elegant home rather than a commercial space. It's the kind of place where you'll want to linger over a pot of tea and return again and again.”

This was our first visit, and we fell in love with this tearoom the minute we walked in. We’ve frequented other tearooms before, and this experience truly stood out from the rest. We especially appreciated that the price included tax and gratuity as it made everything feel seamless and stress-free. We attended the Royal Tea event and had an absolutely wonderful time. Our server, Jasmine, was amazing, attentive, professional, and so warm throughout the entire experience. The private suite was such a special touch. We loved having uninterrupted time together, with Jasmine only coming in to deliver each course, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy one another’s company. The venue was beautifully thought out and decorated for the theme. Every course captured the theme so creatively, and the quality of the food was phenomenal. The tea was delicious, I can’t even remember the name of each one, but we truly didn’t have a single tea that we didn’t love. We will absolutely be back and are already looking forward to our next visit!
Love that there is a second tea house in the city of Albuquerque! Absolutely love the seasonal menus and the fact you can change out any tea you do not like! A little confusing on the fact you can just get up and leave whenever after your dessert is served, but overall loved the privacy! Will definitely be returning!
Ivy Tea Room was an absolutely amazing experience that exceeded our expectations. The décor is so original and beautiful—every detail feels special. My daughter and I truly enjoyed ourselves and made such wonderful memories together. The teas were excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. The staff was very attentive and kind, which made the experience even better. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this place. We just happened to come across it during our road trip, and we will definitely be coming back anytime we’re in Albuquerque. Highly recommend!
This place is AMAZING! Not only was the tea service perfectly paired with the seasonal nosh, the service was stellar! The staff was so friendly and inviting, each tea room was lavish and cozy. It all felt so posh! We were there for the Special Halloween menu, and everything was delightful! There is plenty of parking and the cutest little gift shop… The Ivy Tearoom will be my go-to! Highly recommend!
I had a lovely time at the Ivy Tearoom. I live out of town, but come to Albuquerque frequently for work. I usually try to visit the St James tea room, but I've seen the Ivy Tearoom on Google several times, so this time I decided to try Ivy instead. This Tearoom is more modern themed. The outside is very pretty, and the individual tea rooms are very nice. Each one is decorated differently. I really liked the different wallpapered ceilings. My food was delicious. I enjoyed everything. The price was very reasonable for what was offered. I appreciate that they include tax and tips in their prices, it just makes it easy to settle the bill. I missed having a more traditional scone option, but honestly everything tasted so good that by the end I probably wouldn't have traded anything on the scone course for traditional one. The Butternut squash strata was particularly lovely. I loved the savory course as well. I'm not usually a fall flavors person, but I really enjoyed everything I was served. I did change up the teas that were recommended. The staff was really nice about me asking for different pots than what came recommended. I enjoyed the atmosphere, out of the norm for a Tearoom which was a nice change. If I was local, I would have a hard time keeping myself from visiting both this place and St James every month to try the changing menus! I think one of their outdoor seating areas (heated bubbles) would be really enjoyable in winter. I definitely recommend giving this Tearoom a try. Lovely food, modern atmosphere. Albuquerque is very lucky to have yet another really enjoyable option for afternoon tea!
