Crema's Take

Fante's is a Louisville gem that takes coffee seriously without taking itself too seriously—they hand-roast their own beans sourced directly from farmers and execute both classic espresso drinks and wildly creative seasonal concoctions with equal care. The cozy, window-lined space practically begs you to linger with a laptop or a friend, backed by genuinely welcoming staff and pastries that match the quality of what's in your cup. Whether you're a coffee purist or someone chasing their next favorite flavor adventure, this is the kind of independent spot that makes you want to become a regular.

Wonderful independent coffee shop with relaxing atmosphere, plenty of places to sit, excellent beverages, delicious pastries, and welcoming staff. I'm so glad I came here, and hope to return often. Their patio is dog-friendly, so I plan to walk here with my best four-legged friend when it gets warmer.

If you are looking for top end coffee, Fante's has the best beans in town. They source directly with the farmers and hand roast everything themselves. Each bag is hand marked with the date/roast/etc. I talked with one of their roasters, Derek, and he walked me through all the details about each blend. You could tell he was a craftsman and knew his art. Lots of different choices, and each bag brings out the best of what that particular bean or blend of beans has to offer. If you want to taste what coffee actually is supposed to taste like, get your beans here. Best in city!

Fante’s is great for both coffee traditionalists and adventurers. Their seasonal drinks and fun and creative and I’m still upset I missed out on their fall sweet potato flavor. If flavored lattes aren’t your thing, I think they also have one of the best espressos in the city, and you can’t go wrong with a plain cappuccino, latte etc. Lots of indoor seating, a great place to sit and study or chat with friends. Also a beautiful back patio in the warmer months. Lots of parking available.

Nice little quaint spot, cozy atmosphere and decor. Great first date sort of spot! A little on the pricy end but the hot chocolate was very fancy and tasted phenomenal. Definitely a recommend if you’re in town.

I love this place. I come here a couple of times a week to study. The atmosphere is great and they have tables near windows which is nice if you can get to one before someone else does. I especially like their autumn vibe with their decorations and specialties. They have lots of options but the only problem is that they’re pretty pricy. A latte will usually cost you a little over 7 dollars without tip.
