Crema's Take
“This Palm Springs roastery is a genuine coffee lover's refuge where the knowledgeable baristas take pride in their craft, excelling at both espresso drinks and pour overs that draw devoted regulars back for cortados and perfectly executed light roasts. The intimate space cultivates a welcoming vibe perfect for lingering conversations or focused work, offering that rare combination of serious coffee expertise without the corporate chain energy. Fair warning: their popularity means lines can get long, but reviews consistently suggest the quality and care in every cup makes the wait worthwhile.”

I'm giving them 5 stars because the hot mocha I ordered online was fantastic. However, their wifi was apparently down when I arrived. There was a huge line of people also waiting for their orders. We had to request that my drink was made at that point, and thankfully they made it right away. Hopefully they figure out the wifi issue and maybe turn off online ordering if the wifi goes down. Nice area and location, street parking around. Very, very small space inside.
Sound craft coffee place (aka not starbucks tourists note) , Small space but bro up front proper knew about coffee, I had a delicious drip, wife had an on point espresso drink. Also had a burrito, not bad but this ain’t a food place or a country club. Great vibe, fresh beans to buy. I would be well stoked to have this bean boutique in my neighbourhood. * Golden *. Baristas here are top - those looking for Starbies theres a mega green goddess further down the street that sells overroasted coffee and 87oz hydroflask mugs 😉. respectfully from pdx init
Great light roast drip coffee and pour over available throughout the day at this cute coffeeshop. It is ideal for meeting up a friend and chat over coffee, a work from cafe day, and possibly taking a coffee aficionado on a date. This place has outdoor seating available and every barista I met there was incredibly kind. I was at a nearby event for about a week and tried their single origin drip and pour over coffee beans from Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Columbia, etc. and all were great.
As most folks of my generation have discovered, a good coffee shop is always searched out in a hip town. Speaking subjectively to my experience as a coffee and espresso focused drinker, I can say that Cartel is the best in town. Why? They nail my drink every time to my exact preference regardless of who is at the counter. They do so quickly, with a smiling face and welcoming attitude, and they do this in a pretty small space. My drink of choice is typically a traditional breve cap, favoring a not overpowering hint of vanilla when I have a sweet tooth. Seemingly, they nail the espresso to creme ratio, and their foam art is the best garnish on the way in or out of town. You make my mornings special, thank you Cartel team.
I’m big when it comes to coffee especially cortados. I looked at all the places and this coffee spot caught my attention. Bought two cortados, one for my wife and for myself. First sip was so delicious and creamy. I recommend this place for anyone who loves coffee especially craft coffee. I’ll have to come back again. Thank you Cartel Roasting Co.
